Luftwaffe Prototype: Focke Wulf Ta-183 Jet Fighter

Well, I usually focus on building actual existing WW2 airplanes. But I was inspired by the Protototype Hunters (hence the posting to the adventurers group) and the wonderfull website luft46.com to do something else. So here it is: A Minifig scale (...)   Re: 3 life-size human busts built for Herman Miller "See magazine"

(...) I'd actually tend to agree :) I worked from a profile photo of a real woman... in the photo she was heavily made up (eyeliner, lipstick, etc), and it wasn't until well after I was a ways into the model that I stepped back and realized how (...)   Re: 3 life-size human busts built for Herman Miller "See magazine"

(...) Hey Sean! Pretty nice work! Although I have to say the red one looked like a guy with a ponytail and a moustache. I was pretty surprised it was supposed to be a woman! Still, nice work! Bill Vollbrecht <www.brickcreations.com> (18 years ago, 3-May-06, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

(...) Perhaps you failed to notice the other customer in the bar... ;) (...) If I had my way, all seats would be pink. I can never get enough pink. I have no dark pink though :( (...) And thanks to you too. Allister (18 years ago, 3-May-06, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: Introducing Harry Vig

(...) whateva (...) I have a few more ideas for Harry. A weekend in Coolum has delayed them a bit, but they're coming... Thanks Selçuk. Allister (18 years ago, 3-May-06, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: Introducing Harry Vig

(...) Thanks Richie. The variety of minifig faces available today are a real boon to the vignette-maker. Choosing the right expression is a surprisingly time consuming, but satisfying activity, especially considering my somewhat random minifig (...)   3 life-size human busts built for Herman Miller "See magazine"

Hi again, everybody! Back in February I was asked to build three life-size monochromatic human busts. They were included in Herman Miller's award-winning design magazine, "SEE", alongside an article about the humanization of architecture and design. (...)   Re: Red lady mosaic

(...) Thanks, email sent! (...) That's true (mosaic can be more than 1 brick deep). And judging from your picture, SNOT comes very natural to you! :) Being mostly a castle builder myself, I just don't have very much experience with SNOT... Example 3 (...)   Re: Red lady mosaic

(...) If you'd mail me the picture I may be able to give some pointers or create a plan for you... unless you want to do it all by yourself, of course. (...) Well, the thing is... the whole construction doesn't need to be 1 brick thin... there's (...) (18 years ago, 2-May-06, to lugnet.build.mosaic, FTX)

  Re: Red lady mosaic

(...) Peer, that is fantastic. I actually thought about this two years ago -- but I'm not a mosaic builder, and I need to use my computer programming time for things other than play. You actually did it, and you did a fantastic job of it! (...) (18 years ago, 2-May-06, to lugnet.build.mosaic, FTX)

Brickshelf Find: Bronx Bulldog by the Pale Man

Heads up true believers cause the Pale Man cometh! On today's menu we find a dark red and grey, two seater walker mech. It's Pale Man's first mecha so give him some dap. (URL) The rest can be found here: (URL) (18 years ago, 1-May-06, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Red lady mosaic

(...) Well... I did my own interesting style (I called it just a SNOT-mosaic) back in Dec 2002: (URL) does not "mix" studs out and sideways bricks... but the technique is similar to what you've proposed here. You are correct, the techniques do work (...) (18 years ago, 1-May-06, to lugnet.build.mosaic, FTX)

  Re: Red lady mosaic

(...) Wow this is REALLY REALLY cool. I'm in the process of building a mosaic using plates on their sides (studs pointing upwards). I'm not done yet, but the pattern on the plan I created (using Bricksaic) could be better. It's not Bricksaic's fault (...) (18 years ago, 1-May-06, to lugnet.build.mosaic, FTX)
