Re: First set of pics uploaded! MSZ-006 (prototype)

That is really impressive Jas. I'm just amazed at how creating you guys can be with this SNOT concept. Is this one articulated? How posable is it? What kind of joint do you have in the hip that lets the legs splay outward like that? I wouldn't even (...) (18 years ago, 5-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: My first original Mech - the Minator

Thanks for the comments guys. Yes, the legs do scizzor. When in the squatting position the legs are in their full collapsed position and the mech more or less rests on the upper ankle joint. When standing I insert a pin in the upper ankle which (...) (18 years ago, 5-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: My first original Mech - the Minator

Hi Ken, thanks for sharing! I got to agree with Jas, for a first mech, this isn't bad. I'm looking at the supports in the legs and it looks like if you pivot something around that is what makes the legs change position. Am I right? I like how the (...)   Re: dot mecha curator request

(...) Hey Suz, As I've noticed a great deal more activity from you than we've seen lately... I posted about 2 months ago asking for a newsgroup and curatorship for a PennLUG newsgroup. Any chance you could lend a hand on that? Oh, and congrats to (...) (18 years ago, 5-Apr-06, to lugnet.admin.curators, lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: My first original Mech - the Minator

Hey Ken, Nice work for you first attempt at a mech, I really like the level of articulation you have achieved. I take it the leg has the "scissor action" to it as it bends, which makes for a highly posable, and well balanced frame. What sets did you (...) (18 years ago, 5-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: The street

(...) Wow I like all the colors you've managed to incorporate into the buildings... Very colorful and un-boring! :) -Bryan (18 years ago, 5-Apr-06, to lugnet.build)

  Re: The street

(...) ps ..make more Lego movies .. I love them ! I was particularly happy with the tulips and the postbox. Two more buildings are in the planning (and hoarding brick) stages.. (18 years ago, 5-Apr-06, to lugnet.build)

My first original Mech - the Minator

Inspired by a lot of the great mechs you guys have done I actually decided to disassemble some of my display models and see if I could build something equally as cool. (URL) I spent probably 25 hours fooling around with this thing before I was happy (...) (18 years ago, 5-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Hinge 1x2 top and SNOT

(...) Sometimes I just have to admire my own incredible stupidity... jumper plates on bottom = jumper plates on top is kind of deducable. Peace and stupidity, ;) Tim PS. .build.scleim is where it's at (18 years ago, 5-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.schleim, FTX)

Re: First set of pics uploaded! MSZ-006 (prototype)

Simply stunning Jas. I really like the (URL) photo shoot pic>. Gives a really good feel for size. Mark (18 years ago, 5-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Hinge 1x2 top and SNOT

(...) Ross is correct. I wouldn't have come to that design quite so easily if you hadn't included the jumper plate at the bottom, Tim. This sort of collaborative building is what I really like about this community; I can't wait to see where others (...) (18 years ago, 5-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.schleim, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: First set of pics uploaded! MSZ-006 (prototype)

Quite striking. The new gun is superb, and skirt armor definitely helps, although I think it sits a couple studs too high. I still don't know if I like the way the knee armor looks - it almost seems to have collapsed inwards. Is this a trick of the (...) (18 years ago, 5-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Hinge 1x2 top and SNOT

(...) Yep, very neat door. Tim, looks like jumper plates to me. ROSCO (18 years ago, 5-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.schleim, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: dot mecha curator request

(...) Okay. I turned on permissions. Thanks for your help, Fradel! -Suz (18 years ago, 5-Apr-06, to lugnet.admin.curators, lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Hinge 1x2 top and SNOT

(...) Very nifty work Ley. I like the tiles and using lots of hinge bases rather than just one. What is the plate you're using upside down at the top of the door to hold it in? Must have a hollow stud but I can't work it out, Tim (18 years ago, 5-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.schleim, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: The street

Re: Hinge 1x2 top and SNOT

  Re: The street

(...) Very nice. I particularly like the white waffle-bottom plates as doors and the stacks of 1X1 round plates as awnings. David (18 years ago, 5-Apr-06, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town)

Re: Building Contest- A Better Mouse Trap

Upon thinking about it - not going to work That is kind of a problem though... *most* people with mouse problems aren't going to let the mice run free until they can build a Lego trap, and those without mice probably aren't anxious to get any (...)   First set of pics uploaded! MSZ-006 (prototype)

This build has been an ever-evolving process. I thought I'd post a few pictures to get started (and hopefully finished). (2 URLs) Brickshelf Folder> This build was inspired by the MSZ-006 Gundam (lots of pics online), obviously I couldn't mimic it (...) (18 years ago, 5-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
