Re: LEGO Gortons' Fisherman, coming to a supermarket near you

(...) Wow! I bet you never thought you'd see a relative of yours rendered in LEGO. :) That's a pretty weird coincidence. (...) It was usually very strange to have these guys all over the place, staring blankly off into space. (Or staring at you!) (...) (19 years ago, 16-Feb-06, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

Re: LEGO Gortons' Fisherman, coming to a supermarket near you

(...) Thanks, Spencer! Yes, the angle did make it a bit more challenging... I'm not happy with how some parts came out (his extended arm is a little stiff looking) but overall I think everything mostly works. There's almost nothing symmetrical in (...)   Re: Differences between instructions and cover photo of old trainsets

(...) That weekend was totally ausgezeichnet! I was truly sad to see it end. Those were indeed "good times" Ben! But I must believe that even better times are on their way! Grüße to my schleimer friends HoMa, Rene, and Axel! :-) JOHN (19 years ago, 16-Feb-06, to lugnet.build.schleim, FTX)

Re: LEGO Gortons' Fisherman, coming to a supermarket near you

(...) Holy cow Brendan, that's amazing. That's one factoid that never appeared in the About the Author page in the Brick Testament books! To Sean: These are great models. I suspect these were tougher to build than they might look due to the angle (...) (19 years ago, 16-Feb-06, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

Re: The Brick Testament: Jesus Redux

(...) I do, always --the explanation of eye of needle in previous post could also be just a made up explanation--of course still made good sermon. tommy (19 years ago, 16-Feb-06, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

Re: The Brick Testament: Jesus Redux

(...) Wow, Brendan, great job on scriptures! I have to say I feel a special connection to this project because my great uncle was the Lord’s Fisher of men. In fact, my grandfather’s brothers, Andrew & Peter, may be the faces that many of you (...) (19 years ago, 16-Feb-06, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

Re: The Brick Testament: Jesus Redux

(...) I always do. Thanks. I remember listening to a sermon by my minister once about the "harder than a rich man ....eye of needle" passage. Well he was a pretty smart dude, and always went to Greek translation and explained that --the eye of a (...) (19 years ago, 16-Feb-06, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)
