  A little robot from leftover parts

  IRON MECHA - leg test
 
(URL) spindly legs> I attached the leg prototypes to see if the joints were strong enough. (URL) under compression> I had to beef up the thigh worm joint a bit with a longer shaft and more bushings. Here are some more WIP photos. I seem to be posting the most (I thought that was the idea), anyway I hope no one minds. Again, My Mecha is going to be complete symmetric. (...) Hmm - looking closely at the arm - you're be right - and I may have been rash. 8436 definitely does not have the piece at the bottom of that arm. It just has standard 3x5 L shapes. My Blog has been updated accordingly - including a nice (...) (19 years ago, 9-Jan-06, to lugnet.build.mecha)
