Re: Implecations of 6 LEGO Units Thick Fence

(...) Here two odd-valued off-stud-alignment, or odd-stud-alignment (OSA?), of (URL) and 7 LEGO Units shown as potential train door insets>. Other ways to achieve this 3 and 7-lu OSA? Of course, there are always the clever ways of using clips (...) (19 years ago, 2-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Implecations of 6 LEGO Units Thick Fence

(...) Well I decided to play around some more with it. And got a 3ldu offset and a 7ldu offset (both possible in studs up and SNOT 90). The same technique can make a protruding door (outset?) with 7ldu out or 3ldu out. All this assume I have my (...) (19 years ago, 2-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.schleim, FTX)

(...) This construction is incredible! Erik, brilliant. Thanks for recalling that to my attention. later, James Mathis (19 years ago, 2-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.trains, FTX)

Implecations of 6 LEGO Units Thick Fence

What constructions can follow from (URL) this 6 LEGO Unit fence part>? I haven't fussed with ideas, yet, but I wonder if there are some new stud-offsets to be found with this 6LU thick fence. Train doors and engine vents always come to mind, but (...) (19 years ago, 1-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: New Mecha: The Cub

(...) I remember this exquisite monstrosity. It looks like he would have a definite "spring in his step". I don't know if this kind of tech could hold a toe pose for long though. It would be quite interesting to make a mecha that used tendons (...) (19 years ago, 1-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: New Mecha: The Cub

(...) Cool. Definitely better than a flat foot. That's exactly what I'm talking about, although for a supermassive mecha I'd need to have this toe joint be either worm gear controlled or have an adjustable strut of some kind that forms a triangle to (...)   Re: Using Poser6 to generate Lego sculptures.

(...) Still haven't heard back from the Poser software vendor. I'm starting to think that they don't take Legos seriously. ;) I added a more interesting pose to the (URL) folder> and a (URL) render>.   Re: New Mecha: The Tribunal

(...) It seemed awkward for me at first, Danny, but surprisingly I got used to it. (...) The central structure component or the leg mainframe as I have come to call it, is extremely strong. The biggest structural issue I had was with centering the (...) (19 years ago, 1-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)
