  Sears Tower: Supersize Me

After building a (URL) microscale Sears Tower>, I decided to do a larger compressed version for use in our train layouts. The resulting (URL) model> debuted at MichLUG's GATS 2005 display in March. However, I still wasn't satisfied with the size and (...) (19 years ago, 9-Nov-05, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.build, lugnet.town, FTX) !!

Re: The World according to Harshbarger, Lambrecht, and Lowell

(...) Eric, your fanatstic work always gets my attention. I like to build big, and I've got a lot of parts, but that globe is a challenge I'm not ready to tackle... yet. ;-) Tim (Smith) (19 years ago, 9-Nov-05, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

The World according to Harshbarger, Lambrecht, and Lowell

There's no way I could have ever built my latest creation without the earlier work of the following two LEGO guys: - Bruce Lowell, creator of the first "Lowell Sphere" - Bram Lambrecht, author of the web-app that allows creation of any size Lowell (...)   MINI Cylon Raider from Battlestar Galactica

Hello aganin altogether! Recently I posted my MINI Viper and Battlestar Galactica. In your kind comments you suggested to also do a MINI Cylon Raider.   Re: Microscale USS Fletcher Class Destroyer

That's really nice. My first thoughts were of the old Tente ships - yours really looks like a ship because of the smooth hull. I especially like the asymetric construction in the bow to get everything to fit - clever solution! Would love to see more (...) (19 years ago, 8-Nov-05, to lugnet.build.military)

  "Optimus Prime" with Vahki parts

Everyone's favorite mid-'80s Autobot leader, rendered with Bionicle Vahki parts... (URL) ...courtesy of the $20 Bionicle Bucket found at TRU. It contained enough parts for all six Vahki, plus numerous Rahkshi feet and hunchbacks. Thank you, TLC. (...)   Re: Microscale USS Fletcher Class Destroyer

(...) Spotted this model on brickshelf last night. So glad you've owned up to being the builder! And no, I'm not specifically a model ship fan, but I am into micro and I think you've done a fantastic job. Thanks for the excellent write up in your (...)
