People in this community have had the opportunity to do many cool things over the years, but this has got to rank near the top. Congratulations on the moc and the experience. -Keith (19 years ago, 14-Oct-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

Lost Tales of the Adventurers (in vignettes)

Return back to those days of yesteryear, when great Explorers dared to travel around the world in search of fortune and glory. (...) Ah - I actually only flew to New York City... the Hong Kong crew was in the US for the week. (I just realized my write-up doesn't mention NY anywhere.) :) those photos of me at the Great Wall of China are from my coincidental recent visit in (...)   Re: Micro-Scale MOC: Drachenburg Castle

(...) Very, very nice. I really want to sit myself down and try to copy some of your elements. I'm also a fan of microscale as it keeps the models in a size/time frame that I can manage. (19 years ago, 12-Oct-05, to lugnet.build.microscale)

Re: Microscale Great Wall of China built for Hong Kong documentary

(...) Thanks! I'd been itching to do a model with some nice fluid curves for some time now, and this was the perfect opportunity. I really wanted to add more gentle contouring with plates, as well as some mottling with varied shades of green and (...) (19 years ago, 12-Oct-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

Great landscaping, and mottling. The colour balance is great, especially for something so small! God Bless, Nathan Visit my brickshelf gallery: (URL) (pic=link) (19 years ago, 12-Oct-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

  Re: Micro-Scale MOC: Drachenburg Castle

A great MOC. It is always nice to have a whole composition, rather than just a stand alone piece. This has a beautiful flow/layout with nice height fluctuation. The drop under the bridge is my faviourite detail... it just makes the MOC for me! (...) (19 years ago, 12-Oct-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

Re: Microscale Great Wall of China built for Hong Kong documentary

I think the scale is far, far too small for the 1x3 arches to be used for that!! But more importantly, very impressive model. I love the landscaping. -Josh (19 years ago, 12-Oct-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

Re: Microscale Great Wall of China built for Hong Kong documentary

That's awesome that they flew you guys out there for this. Very impressive for a 90 minute model! But was 90 minutes all the time they gave you to build the model, or could you have taken more time if you wanted? I'm curious why you chose to (...)   Halloween Vig Contest Entry - Dark Stories

Well, this was originally just a tree, which I did mainly just to disprove Anthony Sava's (URL) that fall colors can't be done with branch-and-foliage trees. ;) Anyway, then came said halloween vignette contest and I got a little inspired, so voila: (...)   Re: A new MOC: The Hayabusa

(...) Well, the only reason the forearms are black is that i only had those wierd 2x2 oddly slopped bricks in black, but i guess i can try and redesign them to be a little slimmer (and brown). The shoulders were definately a challange and i guess i (...) (19 years ago, 12-Oct-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)
