  Re: 70's Bachelor Pad

(...) I do dig it. Shades of my parent's living room. All the details are awesome but I especially love the carpet and the panelling. Well done! J (19 years ago, 3-Oct-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: 70's Bachelor Pad

Nice! The carpet is right-on, man! The only thing missing is the wall of smoked mirror tiles. James Wilson (19 years ago, 2-Oct-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: 70's Bachelor Pad

Hahahahallo! (...) That is so great! That's absolutely what (I guess. I was only born in 1977.) the worst 70s homes looked like... The shag carpet particularly rules. Bye Jojo (19 years ago, 2-Oct-05, to lugnet.build.vignette)

  Re: Micro Tractor

Amazing MOC! One of my fav micro-scale MOCs for ages, and definately the best town MOC in a while ; ) John Deer? God Bless, Nathan Visit my brickshelf gallery: (URL) (pic=link) (19 years ago, 30-Sep-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

  Re: Manor House

Hey Lenny, Great MOC! I especially like the roofline, and the door is an intelligent design touch as well. The shepherd's staff is great, and really finishes the scene... Thanks so much for sharing, God Bless, Nathan Visit my brickshelf gallery: (...) (19 years ago, 30-Sep-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, lugnet.castle, FTX)

Re: Death of Socrates and Buddha's First Sermon

Very nice, Lenny. I agree with others that the tree and the fresco statues are the highlights, but these are overall just very good scenes. I like how you've outfitted Buddha with the cloaks and red rubber bands. Looking forward to more in this (...) (19 years ago, 30-Sep-05, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

  Re: Manor House

(...) Hey Lenny, Outstanding! I think the biggest tip of the hat, though, goes to the beautiful and wonderful Tonia, as those sheep are really cute. The wrench piece as shepherd's crook is very inspired as well. Bruce (19 years ago, 29-Sep-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Manor House

Built for Tom Rafert for NWBC as an award. (URL) Take notice of the door design - I spent a while doing that. Oh yes, and it was my wife, the beautiful and wonderful Tonia, who designed the micro sheep. Enjoy! -Lenny (19 years ago, 29-Sep-05, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build.microscale, lugnet.castle, FTX) !

Re: The Brick Testament: Samson and Delilah

Tim and Felix, Can you please move such non-Lego discussions out of the .build group? Thanks, Clark (19 years ago, 29-Sep-05, to lugnet.build.ancient, lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: The Brick Testament: Samson and Delilah

(...) I think that a lot of the old testament is probably collected from the notes of the rabbis of various tribes. And those people probably acted like a combination spiritual guide/general scribe of their tribes. So what we see is a combination of (...) (19 years ago, 29-Sep-05, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

Re: The Brick Testament: Samson and Delilah

(...) Outstanding, as usual. I like the philistine minifigs. It seems like every time you do a new story I think you'll be out of ways to portray different cultures. But you always do it great. Anyway, I was reading through some of the other (...) (19 years ago, 29-Sep-05, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

  Re: Motorized microscale train

(...) A second alternative to specialized chain links -- and one I haven't tried yet -- would be Technic link-arms and pins, threaded around large-diameter tires. The magnet-holders can then be pinned vertically, and the curves in the "track" aren't (...) (19 years ago, 29-Sep-05, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

Re: Death of Socrates and Buddha's First Sermon

(...) The style of this piece is intantly reconisable, From the fantastic fresco work above the temple (love the half turned torso's) to the Columed walkway to the main temple. But by far and away my favorite detail is the scales of justice. I can (...) (19 years ago, 29-Sep-05, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

Re: Death of Socrates and Buddha's First Sermon

Hey Lenny, These are awesome! My favorite details are the tree in the Buddha scene (how sturdy is that, btw?) and the statues etc above the stairs in the Greek temple. I'm looking forward to seeing the further installments in this series. Bruce (19 years ago, 29-Sep-05, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

  Re: Micro Tractor

(...) snip (...) That'd be cool. I haven't tried to build it in alternate colors but looking just now it can be done in red and even dark red. (...) Yeah, equipment would be cool. It's been in the back of my mind but so far I haven't built anything (...) (19 years ago, 29-Sep-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)
