"The Best and Wisest Man I Have Ever Known."

"...a personal contest between the two men ended, as it could hardly fail to end in such a situation, in their reeling over, locked in each other's arms. Any attempt at recovering the bodies was absolutely hopeless, and there, deep down in that (...) (19 years ago, 2-Sep-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, lugnet.town, lugnet.adventurers)

  Re: Godfather Mosaic

(...) Your choice of imagery is particularly nice. Combined with the color scheme (mostly B&W, with sandblue), it does a perfect job of capturing the feel of the movies. Bravo! -Lenny (19 years ago, 2-Sep-05, to lugnet.build.mosaic, FTX)

  Re: On creating life-sized sculpture

(...) Hey, I am not sure about MLCAD type stuff as I have never used it. But the Lego company uses a program called Legoizer (although I think it has changed names since I left the company). Essentially, you build a 3D version of what you want in 3D (...) (19 years ago, 1-Sep-05, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: On creating life-sized sculpture

Hi Ryan, All my sculptures are small (2 feet or smaller) because my husband doesn't want me to build anything bigger than the dogs ;) Seriously, I don't know how you would do that with MLCad (I find LeoCAD very difficult to use IMHO), because most (...)   On creating life-sized sculpture

Let's say, for the sake of argument, that I wanted to come up with actual step-by-step plans for creating a life-sized Lego statue of some well-known caped superhero, let's say, Superman. What would be the best way to go about this using something (...) (19 years ago, 1-Sep-05, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: light the night

Ondrew, I was somehow deeply moved when I first viewed your sculpture this afternoon. As Mark said, I immediately thought of the 9/11 tribute, specifically in my case it brought to mind some of the renderings of proposed WTC replacements. Your (...)   Pit Hangar

The (URL) pit hangar> was originally constructed to service a single podracer. As the sports popularity grew, bays were enlarged to service multiple podracers crammed with their own pit crews and teams.   Re: Bondage Vignettes

Great Stuff! I am a huge bond fan so I found this particuarly enjoyable. I like the way you worked several elements of each movie into the scenes. My only quibble is with the Lazenby film (OHMSS) being included in the Connery era, although I guess (...) (19 years ago, 31-Aug-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

Re: 1st posted MOC: Future City

Hey Doug, I was out of town last week so I missed your announcement here. As I noted before, these are really cool. You've really expanded it since the first pictures.   Re: Panels to offer a 5-wide space in a 6-wide MOC

(...) I did some brief testing last night with this. The Technic motor((URL) does fit into the 1x4x3 and 1x2x3 panels, with possibly a very slight amount of bending. The 1x2x3 panel works better as the 1x4x3 panel has two small strengthening ribs (...) (19 years ago, 30-Aug-05, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build)
