Re: New MOC - Giant cable-stayed bridge

(...) Duane- The funny thing is that cable stayed bridges are not "new". They've been popping up all over the world since WWII. They just haven't been as common in the US where our aesthetic sense in public works is always overridden to save a dime (...) (19 years ago, 5-May-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: New MOC - Giant cable-stayed bridge

(...) Seems to be working in your message. Or did you mean something else? Perhaps the SCLTC server was tied up or your access to it was thwarted when you tried? -Ted (19 years ago, 5-May-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: New MOC - Giant cable-stayed bridge

(...) Wow, very nice! They sure do make attactive bridges, don't they? I can see why they're popping up all over the world these days. (19 years ago, 5-May-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: New MOC - Giant cable-stayed bridge

(...) Duane- Well, we've still got you for the moment. Ours is 384 studs long, which is slightly over 10 feet. (URL) Nice job! Looking forward to seeing the completed work. -Ted (19 years ago, 5-May-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: New MOC - Giant cable-stayed bridge

(...) Thanks, Larry, I appreciate that. Yes, you picked it out, that's the one. I feel like I'm driving in one of those urban Grand Prix races when I drive through there. It looks like my model will soon be put on display at the field office for the (...) (19 years ago, 5-May-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: New MOC - Giant cable-stayed bridge

(...) Nice. Spotlighted. Is this the bridge project that's causing all the snaky I-280 detours? The shape of the bottom roadway seems to suggest it is... (19 years ago, 5-May-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

New MOC - Giant cable-stayed bridge

Greetings. This is a scale model of the Maumee River Crossing bridge, a cable-stayed bridge currently under construction in Toledo, Ohio, USA. In this picture it is only 70 percent complete (14 of 20 cables), and measures 9.5 feet long (2.9 meters). (...) (19 years ago, 5-May-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX) !!

  Re: New MOC: L-Siren

This is my first comment on a mech. It looks cool. I love the head and body. Depending on the asteroid density, a rapid-fire gun may be a better fit for an in-and-out fighting style. Unless, the charge-n-fire gun is supposed to blow up the asteroid (...) (19 years ago, 5-May-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: MOC: Minifig-scale Tachikoma

(...) Aw, he's cute. And... he's a pet. And he carries a puppy. This tank appears to make friends, not war. Thanks for the underside shot too. That's great insight to the construction. -- Tony Hafner www.hafhead.com (19 years ago, 5-May-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: New MOC: L-Siren

(...) Soren, this is the most inspiring thing I have seen in a long time. I completely loved the ANIME look of it and the weapons. That gun reminds me so much of "Zone of the Ender". I have been trying to come up with something like it in a smaller (...) (19 years ago, 5-May-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  MOC: Minifig-scale Tachikoma

Since Lenny was kind enough to highlight the little bugger, I guess I should at least post a bit about it: (URL) Click me!>> It's taken me two months of waiting for parts to arrive via Bricklink, but it's finally done - a minifig scale Tachikoma (...)   Re: Statue of Liberty Jedi Knight by Nathan Sawaya Charity Auction

I know the post above is about an auction, but it should probably be cross posted to .build.sculpture and .starwars to discuss the MOC itself. Here's more about Nathan's Liberty Jedi: (URL) Bruce (19 years ago, 4-May-05, to lugnet.market.auction, lugnet.build.sculpture, lugnet.starwars, FTX)

  Re: SWATBot

(...) I didn't even think of posting there. I picture mecha as bigger things with people inside, but wow- thanks for the sidebar! (19 years ago, 4-May-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: first public mecha

(...) Hey thanks for the feedback. I was hoping to get some more, though I know it has been kind of busy around here in .mecha. I never realized it but you are right it does look similar to space police I. I am glad you liked it. My only complaint (...) (19 years ago, 4-May-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Entry - MPC - Brian Cooper - Large Mecha
