Re: Creating custom fabric elements for Lego minifigures

Hi Tim (...) You're welcome. (...) Oooo - that would work, wouldn't it... Especially if you used sheer material. Hmmmm. This makes me think thoughts of building a coach to go with my Edwardian-era London and Southwestern Railway station, Stevermer (...)   new moc: italian villa with aquarium pool

another hillside moc in the italian countryside, this villa represents building through the ages. the varied roof lines *might* bring to mind various outbuildings that were brought together under one roof, so to speak. this roof design was inspired (...)   Re: Riverdance Vignette

So simple, yet so funny! And well built, too! ;-) I'm still laughing... A question: Where did those torsos come from? Spotlighted. :-D -- Nathan Wells (19 years ago, 9-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: Alpha

Hey Marco, Very nice! I love how you used the 1x2 plate with rods (Classic Space guns to me!) to add detail to the knee joints. Just as impressive is that you managed to make a scout walker that doesn't look like a SW Scout Walker. Well done, and (...) (19 years ago, 9-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: The Brick Testament: Judge Deborah

(...) I say this because its the same reason I attempted a more artistic direction with lego rather than another medium. The shapes, textures, and colors invoke immediate feelings in an observer. So this can be used as a spring board to communicate (...) (19 years ago, 8-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

  Re: Grand National

(...) Thanks for the comments, and blog entry. I've used the click hinges before in a show jumping scene, in fact you might recognise the runners and riders :-) The grey horse is on clear 1x1 rounds.   Re: Grand National

(...) Welcome to the funhouse! Cute vignette. (URL) Blogged!> I particularly like the use of click hinges to angle the horse. That's always a problem--I'm currently working on a medieval battle, and the horses just seem so static that they don't (...) (19 years ago, 8-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Grand National

I've only just discovered Vignettes, and this is a first and very simple effort. Tomorrow is the Grand National in the UK, this is a very famous horse race that features big fences, below is a small vignette to represent it. (URL) Brickshelf folder (...)   Re: Alpha

(...) Hey Nathan, I'm glad you like it. I had the idea of a mass produced bot. And as the parts used for Alpha are not rare ones it could even be "mass produced" with LEGO. It came up in yellow as some yellow bricks were laying around. I think I get (...) (19 years ago, 8-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Alpha

(...) Hey, Very Nice, I particularly the scale and that it's in yellow (a colour I don't use much). It has a a feel of mass production and quazi effiency which is great! Thanks and God Bless, Nathan (19 years ago, 8-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Alpha

(...) Hello Keith, thank you for your comments. I didn't realise the feet looked like clown shoes unless you mentioned it. But they really do! I think it should be possible to built some feet which fit the overall design better. I'll try and post if (...) (19 years ago, 8-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Alpha

(...) Great design Marco, great economic use of parts. I'd like to see it in context with some troop running around. Then again, that pretty much applies to any good mecha/bot I see. The only thing I don't like are the feet...it looks like the bot (...) (19 years ago, 8-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
