  Re: Introducing.... Joe Vig !!!

Hey guys, Very cool idea! (URL) Blogged!> My thoughts are very similar to Jason's. From Nelson I think the Grease Fire and Pit Stop are the stronger creations. In the Grease Fire one, the kitchen details are superb, with the drawers, the tile floor, (...) (20 years ago, 16-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Two Vigs

Hey all, I was stuck home today because I'm sick, but I managed to build two vigs. The first was inspired by my school's track meeting that I'm missing today. (URL) second was inspired by every teenager's hate of school. (URL) (20 years ago, 16-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette)

  Re: Introducing.... Joe Vig !!!

(...) Neat idea to continue interest in vignettes. I hope to see more Joe Vig adventures. (...) Toxic Trouble is my favorite of this bunch. The toxic substance buring through the floor is great. Also very nice work on the lap itself. I will be (...) (20 years ago, 16-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

In lugnet.build.vignette, Nelson Yrizarry wrote: <snip> He's wearing the same colour clothing as Gilligan from 'Gilligan's Island'. Coincidence? I wonder... I'm going to like seeing the contributions to this one... Keep up the great work! Dave K (20 years ago, 16-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette)

  Introducing.... Joe Vig !!!

Meet Joe Vig... (URL) Who is Joe Vig? He is the unluckiest and most oblivious minifig ever created. Joe has no clue of what’s going on in the area just around him! He is also electro-magnet for bad luck, and never quite seems to know what’s about to (...) (20 years ago, 16-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, lugnet.announce, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX) !!

Re: Herakles: A Endoskeleton type thingie

(...) Absolutely fantastic! I agree with whateveryone else in the thread said. But whatreally caught my eye is the use of the elastic band holders on the arms--very nicely done! Dave K (20 years ago, 16-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Herakles: A Endoskeleton type thingie

(...) Yeah, they're probably just not used to seeing the Metru head without a Kanohi. I personally think the fierce look is very appropriate for the bulk of Herakles. (...) Interesting - I guess it was the background that was deceiving my eyes. (...) (20 years ago, 16-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: A small car

(...) I agree--I grew up thinking all cars should be four wide, but six is where it's at if you want it to be more detailed. (...) I think this is the key--it's the illusion or pinching of shapes to make them look different than what they really (...) (20 years ago, 16-Mar-05, to lugnet.build)

Re: Herakles: A Endoskeleton type thingie

(...) Hey Kelly, Not many of the kids like the "naked" Metru head. Oh well. As for the silver pieces, the shoulders, chest, and feet are made from a mysterious grey with a greenish tinge. And there aren't any lilac pieces from the Jango set. Just (...) (20 years ago, 16-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Herakles: A Endoskeleton type thingie

(...) Thanks Chris! Yeah those hands are good, but they only work for larger scale stuff. I wish there was another part other than guns and minifig hands that we bioniclers could use for fingers. Hey Chris, do you still have the same e-mail (...) (20 years ago, 16-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Herakles: A Endoskeleton type thingie

(...) Hey waitaminute...!!! (...) Yeah the side view of the head looks pretty silly. I tried to add more greeblage in there but it became ugly. More is less. Yeah. (...) Thanks brother Mark. Maybe I'll make a Terminator-type gun on steroids for him (...) (20 years ago, 16-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Herakles: A Endoskeleton type thingie

(...) Smack! Smack! Smack! Smack! It's a beaut Jeff. Big and beefy, just like you. It's got the musclebound idot look, just like.... I can't speak much more than what the others said, the hands are primo. The one piece head nestles in there nicely. (...) (20 years ago, 15-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Herakles: A Endoskeleton type thingie

(...) Just say no to steroids... This is another fine example of Ranjo Bionicle engineering. The hands rule - maybe the best Bionicle hands I've seen yet. The hoses also give a very mechanorganic feel to the model. If Lego made Bionicle sets like (...) (20 years ago, 15-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Joe versus the Volcano Vignette

(...) Roger that. I think this movie is destined to be a classic. It's not a grand movie, as you say, but it's great. It makes fun of cliches in a cool way, there are some great bits, and Meg plays a lot of parts. Tom and Meg just have some sort of (...) (20 years ago, 15-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: Black Diamond
