Re: One eyed, one horned, flyin' PPE...

(...) Thanks for the cross post. It didn't quites seem "mecha-ish" to me initially. Get Well! (20 years ago, 14-Mar-05, to lugnet.org.us.sealug, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: ISD Build competition

So, in checking around, I think this is the list of 10-person ISD builds? (Except BricksWest 2003, which had a 13-person team?) I couldn't seem to find the exact times for the 2 attempts made at BrickFest in DC for 2004-- I know one took 1:18:?? (...) (20 years ago, 14-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.contests)

  Re: Black Diamond

(...) Good work. Looks like a very perilous slope. I also like that you added some height to the base to give it that death defying feel. As others noted, innovative work on anchoring the figs.   Re: A few new Vignettes!

(...) I'm glad I saw the picture for this one before I read the description. I immediately thought to myself, hey, that's the pizza pie guy from Sesame Street! I loved that bit when I was a kid. Jeff (20 years ago, 14-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: Black Diamond

Hey, very nice vig, Bruce. Great looking mountain, just the right choice of fig heads, and nice job anchoring the skiing fig. -Brendan (20 years ago, 14-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Request to move .mecha

We (the curators of .mecha, Mark Neumann and Eric Sophie) have been talking for a while amongst ourselves about moving .mecha to a location that makes it easier to find mecha related stuff on Lugnet. I am formally requesting that .mecha be moved (...) (20 years ago, 14-Mar-05, to lugnet.admin.suggestions, lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: One eyed, one horned, flyin' PPE...

SNIPPED You sicken me. I never thought that anything more weird than the MPP or Soren's Belville fig of death could ever crop up, but it seems I've been proved wrong. This is like a Barney that has some funny mutation thing going. Gross. In other (...) (20 years ago, 14-Mar-05, to lugnet.org.us.sealug, lugnet.build.mecha)

One eyed, one horned, flyin' PPE...

Hi Well, after the new X-pods came out and combined with the selection at Pick-A-Brick at the local store, I've been thinking of what to do with all the various dark purple, Light Purple, Purple, Dark Magenta family of bricks available.   Re: Ball Joint Frame ZRX1 version

(...) No, thank you Marcus. I always wanted to build a (solely) ball jointed Mecha, but never did because I knew the scale of the frame had to be carefully done in order to work within the physical limits of the ball joints. Your dual ball jointed (...) (20 years ago, 14-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Ball Joint Frame ZRX1 version

(...) It was Bryce's fault! I'm telling you! lol, just kidding. I think we remebered back to an early model that used some stiffening techniques. I absouletly know that your newer and later models do not use such techniques. Your still the Mac (...) (20 years ago, 14-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Ball Joint Frame ZRX1 version

(...) This is a wonderful thing to see! The ZXRX1 Frame is an upgraded version of the frame that I had been working on for over a year now. The first attempt failed badly and I wanted to correct.   Re: More microstuff

(...) Thanks! I like tinkering with this scale, because I think there is a lot of potential for Lego to come up better mini-mecha sets that are much better than what they have now. Later, Chris (20 years ago, 14-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Ball Joint Frame ZRX1 version

(...) <snip> (...) Ouch! Actually, I've designed most of my recent frames and mecha to use only readily available lego parts, with no stiffening or gluing required. (...)
