Re: Winter's New Direction: Study 17

(...) Thanks Samarth. Ya, I'll admitt what the deck sits on was one of those "Awe, what the *bleep*." times. I spent some much time (and money!) on the deck design that when it came to what to stick under it I was in an "OK, now what?" state. I have (...) (20 years ago, 18-Feb-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: Winter's New Direction: Study 17

(...) Thanks. An entire road structure in the house would be nice but I haven't won the super lotto jackpot yet (Yes, I do play). (...) My mom taught me how to houseclean ;-) Adr. (20 years ago, 18-Feb-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: Winter's New Direction: Study 17

(...) It's awesome. It's also a gridlock nightmare waiting to happen. Is this from a real bridge? All 3 directions have stop signs. And all 3 cross in front of another stop sign. So if there is enough traffic, everything will grind to a hault (...) (20 years ago, 18-Feb-05, to lugnet.build)

  Stormwalker MkII

Thanks to everybody who replied on (URL) Stormwalker>. It gave a strong motivation to me getting such constructive critics. They brought me to rethink the design which resulted in some modifications. The overall result I'd like to share. So this is (...) (20 years ago, 17-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX) !

  Re: Kalate OmniDroid

(...) Hi Brian, I'm waiting for that! Like your stuff very much! And I see the shadow of an upcoming master of arts in your first attempts on mecha. Build on, I know you will! (URL) Marco> (...) (20 years ago, 17-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Velociraptor

Well I got a sick bug again, which means, build time! Oh wait, and rest. Yeah. So I thought I'd have some fun and make a nice easy ridgid mech: (URL) It's called, Velociraptor. Kind of tall, kind of angular and mean looking, the green reminds me of (...) (20 years ago, 17-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.space, FTX) !!

  Re: Definition of "micro"

(...) Forgive my late reply, but I've been offline for quite a while... "Stickfig" is a term I coined for the scale where a person is depicted by a 1x1 cylinder with a couple of 1x1 round plates on top. It's a "stick figure" representation of a (...)   Re: Winter's New Direction: Study 17

(...) A new direction indeed. Freaking amazing, Adrian, you've somehow outdone youself. The only thing missing is California grid-lock. -Keith (20 years ago, 17-Feb-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Kalate OmniDroid

(...) Thanks. This was planned and a necessity. I wanted to get a start with Mechs but I figured that a humanoid would be too challenging for the first build so I tried to go in a new direction. I too think that this shape leads to a lot of (...) (20 years ago, 17-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Kalate OmniDroid

(...) That is a good way of putting the bionicle parts --- easy. (...) You guys and your 'dead weight'! :) (...) Thanks. It was a fun build. I have been surprised that by taking two average, ungreebled Mechs and combining then with an (...) (20 years ago, 17-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Winter's New Direction: Study 17

(...) I haven't really keep up on what you are doing or what you are "studying" but WOW! That is amazing. I hope to see (via pictures) an entire road structure through your house.   Winter's New Direction: Study 17

It's more than just a curved bridge. And certainly more than just a straight one. It's a new path. A new direction. It's Study 17- (viewers: picture is 800x532, 116KB) (URL) For more photos of Study 17 please check the "WinterStudy" folder: (URL) (...)   Re: Kalate OmniDroid

I like the general low-slung shape of these mechs. They look very agressive, and the large back-side could be equipped with a variety of things, such as huge missile launchers, a rocket booster pack, massive railguns... The underside and the arms (...) (20 years ago, 17-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Kalate OmniDroid

I really like all the gadgetry you put on this new mech... however, i'm gonna have to agree w/ what i read about the bionicle legs... they're too easy. i know that i'm sounding like a broken record, but you should consider at least adding some 'dead (...)
