  Re: Closing airlocks

Here's one of my favorites. It's not an airlock per se, but a hatch that closes flush and doesn't take up much space. Could easily be the outside door of an airlock. It's (URL) Todd Trotter's Sighthound Recon>. James Wilson Dallas, TX (20 years ago, 19-Oct-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: My First MOC

(...) Hi Tim, I'm glad you like it. I will remember to post to announce.moc next time, I wasn't sure what to do with either that or the followups....so many choices ;) Thanks, Cyndi (20 years ago, 19-Oct-04, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build)

  Re: My First MOC

(...) Hi Terry, thanks for the compliments. I was happy with how it turned out. The roof and overall design came out the way they did mostly because I ran out of bricks too soon and had to improvise ;) I began with the intent to make a better Privet (...)   Re: My First MOC

(...) Is the house for sale? Not the lego one, but for real :) I would happily live in it. It is so compact, yet so well designed. And I must agree with the others, I love the use of the burnt orange/grey colour scheme. It really works well. I can (...) (20 years ago, 19-Oct-04, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build)

  y-wing, no capital letter

Here is an y-wing, with a small y, not a capital Y. Cheaper than the original Y-wing. No weapons, no AC, no stereo. Just plain ride. For the budget space racer. Some say for the purist. (URL) Click on the pic = post mod folder. Enjoy the ride! JP. (20 years ago, 19-Oct-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars, lugnet.build, FTX) !!

(...) Cyndi - Wow, I love the modern look of this house! Great job. I'm used to seeing more traditional LEGO houses on layouts, this is a pleasant twist. I like the burnt orange exterior, too, and the overall choice of color. -Tim PS - I know this (...) (20 years ago, 19-Oct-04, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build)

(...) Here are 2 pictures: (URL) are almost the same as Erik Amzallag did (see other message in thread), mine is using an arch, and head light holders give the 1/5 offset I need.   Re: My First MOC

(...) Cyndi, I must say that for a first MOC, it's impressive! You used SNOT for the roof and the design is quite original, You used a fairly rare color, which limits your possibilities, yet it is very fluid. As an experienced builder (experienced, (...) (...) Nice Retro looking robots too. I like. I recommend to anyone who like this kind of Retro Science go see "Steam Boy" if at all possible. It is Katsuhiro Otomo's first feature film since "Akira" and I believe that Sony is distributing it. I saw (...) (20 years ago, 19-Oct-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

This is a great first effort...the thumping sound that was heard at the GATS show this year from our table was all of our jaws dropping after looking at this home! This is one of those (...) (...) Sometimes I think you build stuff just so you'll have an excuse to create those crazy captions and commentaries. Well played. Do they ever shoot blasts of steam as an attack? (20 years ago, 19-Oct-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

You don't know my mother. Thanks for explaining steam as a power source. My favorite steambot is the short legged one. And I like steamrice. JP. (20 years ago, 19-Oct-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

(URL) Steambots aren't powered with fancy-dancy unobtainium power-fusion or uber-posh magic crystals. Yep-- and one of the biggest problems was the fact that the paper, although made by Lego, didn't QUITE line up with the studs at the lengths we were dealing with, because supposedly it gets stretched in the printing process.
