  GMLTC Plummer Building project completed!

We finished it up on Saturday, September 25th. Finished height is just over 7 feet tall, using a guestimate of 55,000 to 60,000 bricks. Total design time was around 150 hours, total build time was around 400 man-hours, not counting all the time we (...)   Theed Palace Chamber

  Re: Power Armor Mercenary Team

(...) Thanks for the comments and suggestion, Eric! I may do instructions, it's a pretty simple design. Regarding the colors, I only have the UFO helmets in black and light gray, so that restricted my options a little. As far as I know, they never (...)   Re: Power Armor Mercenary Team

I dig it! A series in colors, gotta love it. I like the use of those cool helmets. I think it would be great if you generated instructions for these. Any chance ? btw, question, were there any other colors that you would have tried or did try and (...) (20 years ago, 25-Sep-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: The virtual Cube has come alive !

(...) It is indeed very heavy: more than 2 kilogram ! Considering the weight, the pieces slide together very easy. I could make a video to show it, but I'm not going to do that (I won't give you the solution to the puzzle ;-) ). Every now and than (...) (20 years ago, 24-Sep-04, to lugnet.build)

Re: The virtual Cube has come alive !

(...) Very cool! There's something very satisfying about bringing your own virtual instructions to life. And, just think, not only do you get to assemble the Lego pieces into the puzzle pieces, but when you're done you get to assemble the puzzle (...) (20 years ago, 24-Sep-04, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: Why I kept my age a secret

When critiquing I try to do a few things, most importantly provide encouragment, for some people its a big thing to present their new MOC to the world. I try to gauge the level of the builder (which isn't really an age thing) from the tone of their (...)   The virtual Cube has come alive !

Hi all, A few months ago I created (virtually) a Lego version of a wooden puzzle (a cube later converted to a sphere). When we visited LegoLand Billund, I was lucky to find many brown and tan tiles to construct a real Cube (dimension 20 studs, 12 (...)   Re: Why I kept my age a secret

(...) I reckon you're pretty fair with your critiques, Paul. But you're right, they can be difficult, mainly because one is always unsure how they will be taken. Here's what I reckon: If you want your work critiqued, ask for it, even to the point of (...) (20 years ago, 24-Sep-04, to lugnet.people.teens, lugnet.space, lugnet.build, lugnet.castle, FTX)

Re: Why I kept my age a secret

(...) Critiquing is tough. I've been giving ad-hoc critiques of almost everything for years and I still haven't got the hang of it... in fact, I often get the feeling that it has worked against my favour. I don't think I'd recommend it. Then again, (...) (20 years ago, 24-Sep-04, to lugnet.people.teens, lugnet.space, lugnet.build, lugnet.castle, FTX)

Re: The Brick Testament: Gibeonites Enslaved, Amorites Massacred

(...) No, no, it's not the *same* table. It was just created by the same carpenter at Ai. He used to supply tables to many area kings. Of course Joshua got his by looting. And that explains that. -Rev. Smith (20 years ago, 24-Sep-04, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: The Brick Testament: Gibeonites Enslaved, Amorites Massacred

(...) Thanks. (...) Good question. You're right, I don't have any of the new Harry Potter sets with gray hoods--though I did just order a couple of those gray-hooded ghoul things over Bricklink. So if we see the Gibeonites again, they will be better (...) (20 years ago, 24-Sep-04, to lugnet.build.ancient)
