  Trains around the Christmas Tree

For many years, on and off, we have run trains around the tree. First in HO, then in LGB G scale, and last year I had a small one around a tiny tree in my apt in Detroitland. Well, this year I have a LOT more parts to build with and plan to do (...) (26 years ago, 15-Nov-98, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build)

  Re: SWAT semi is "done"

More than enough in black, now - I have about 40 "spare" 2441 chassis from spare cahssis, 12+ 2886s, and 22 2535s. So maybe I need to make a bomb disposal robot, and some other things. Hmmmm..... But I STILL need WHITE, BLUE, and GREEN 2441 chassis (...) (26 years ago, 14-Nov-98, to lugnet.build)

  Re: SWAT semi is "done"

  SWAT semi is "done"

Well, I have "finished" my SWAT semi. I lengthened it 10 studs, which really makes it too long, but TOUGH, I like the way it looks ;-) It is at (URL) , though it will be moving to my work site tomorrow. The VFAQ link will still work, though, as it (...) (26 years ago, 13-Nov-98, to lugnet.build)

Re: Using the 2x4x4 cylinder piece as a canopy

(...) Ah, I just knew this had to be a frequently asked question. Thanks! The images look much better now. I've also added proper instructions. (URL) (26 years ago, 10-Nov-98, to lugnet.build)

Re: Using the 2x4x4 cylinder piece as a canopy

(...) Well, a very, very small one, perhaps. But otherwise I was quite happy to see that it fitted very nicely. On the other hand, there _is_ a gap just in front of the 6L sloped technic beam. So that pilot needs to wear a space suit, I suppose! :-) (...) (26 years ago, 10-Nov-98, to lugnet.build)

  Re: My LDraw models

(...) Thanks! The sub is more than meets the eye, too. It has four working torpedo launchers, a turning periscope, bunks, and a hatch to get out of the tower. I hope to find time to work on getting my site redone so that people can see all these (...) (26 years ago, 9-Nov-98, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

Fredrik Glöckner wrote in message ... (...) Fred, This is really neat. I can't tell from the raytraces, but is there a gap at the top of the canopy? It's interesting, Fred posted last week about a minifig scale bucket loader from Technic, and now (...) (26 years ago, 9-Nov-98, to lugnet.build)

Using the 2x4x4 cylinder piece as a canopy

I just made my very first non-technic LEGO model since my childhood this weekend, and thought I might post it here. I wanted to make use of the 2x4x4 trans blue cylinder I have, and I also wanted some interesting canopy. So I thought, why not (...) (26 years ago, 9-Nov-98, to lugnet.build)

  Re: four legged walker

But Jeff's suggestion of watching animals will not be as enjoyable as watching your girlfriend's legs. Are you sure you're not just using the Lego thing as an excuse? ;-) Jeff Stembel wrote in message <3643A2A3.C06ECFD8@aol.com>... :To get a really (...) (26 years ago, 8-Nov-98, to lugnet.build)

  Re: What are you making?

I don't really know if this belongs in robotics also, but it is fairly non-technical, so I'm posting it here. This description involves parts included in the Mindstorms RIS. For anyone who doesn't understand what I'm talking about, go get a (...) (26 years ago, 7-Nov-98, to lugnet.build)

  Re: four legged walker

To get a really good idea, examine skeletal and muscular structures of animals. All animal limbs use ball & socket joints. This can be reproduced in lego. To simulate muscles, the best way is to use the Flex system. Study the movements of a dog or (...) (26 years ago, 7-Nov-98, to lugnet.build)

(...) it to RTL and I asked if I could preserve it on my site since lu does not have a web site. Credit where it is due! But I agree, Mike's pump, Lu's switch, and 4 or 5 blue tanks make a totally awesome power setup. I have to try Ralph's design. I (...) (26 years ago, 7-Nov-98, to lugnet.build)
