Re: Brickfest Micro Moc Display and Contest

(...) Excellent Erik, nice work on both scales. Looking forward to seeing those micro-scaled creations at BrickFest. Janey "Red Brick" (URL) (20 years ago, 26-May-04, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.build.microscale, lugnet.build.ancient)

  Re: A princely mosaic

(...) Actually, it's because some of the WAMALUG members are borderline obsessive-compulsive. When they set up their train tables, some members insisted the grain of wood on the tables all be oriented the same direction. This is not a joke. :-) (...)   Re: Gundam-K6

(...) Ooooh nice. I like the legs too, very well made. I agree with Chris, the whole thing doesn't really gel, but the individual parts are great. New arms would help, I think. All in all great job! Soren (20 years ago, 25-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: My latest effort...Needs critique\ideas

Jas, this is looking very cool. The suggestions I have are: The hips need some work, perhaps just adjust the hip skirts to give the illusion that they are a little wider or beefier. The shoulders look a bit big and bulky, but that is part of the (...) (20 years ago, 25-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New JE Moc: Shen Kai Powersuit

(...) Yo Eric, thanks mang. All about the pics. Not near as good a quality as, say, Palmer's or JHK's, but you've seen my setup and know the conditions I'm working in. :-) Out. -Chris (20 years ago, 25-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Gundam-K6

(...) Brayton, stunning moc for a first try. Much better than my first (and only) try at a Gundam style moc ((URL) Zion>). I like everything about it, except it looks as if it's been built in two or three different scales. Lemme explain. The legs (...) (20 years ago, 25-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: New Mecha and new weapons for a previous mecha!

Frank, this is a very unussual design. Wow, was it hard to get it to stand when you were building and developing the legs? Breaking ground my friend. e (20 years ago, 25-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Gundam-K6

(...) -snip- Brayton, this is stunningly beautiful. The look and feel is Gundam. No doubt. The feet are superb. The legs look great, although, I don't see much knee bend. It still looks stellar. The chest is cool as is the head. Very cool. The arms (...) (20 years ago, 25-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: New JE Moc: Shen Kai Powersuit

I gotta chime in on my boy's MOC. C-mad, the feet and chest on this Powersuit rock big time. Nice job, very cool pictures to. Good work man. e (20 years ago, 25-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) Oh my goodness, this is turing out to be very cool! (...) Wow!, I like it! (...) oh! oh! (...) I got a real kick out of adding that part there. (...) That is killer! It looks so organic, plus I really like all the choice pieces that you used. (...) (20 years ago, 25-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: New JE Moc: Shen Kai Powersuit

(...) Crap, I been found out. :-) Yeah, that's the only thing that bugs me about my "style" when I work in this size range. I've found the best alternative is to (follow me here), turn the 1x1 tile w/ clip sideways, stick a headlight brick on, and (...) (20 years ago, 25-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: New JE Moc: Shen Kai Powersuit

(...) Thanks Jeff. Roll cage is exactly the look I wanted. But it was a pain getting the tails to line up exactly where I wanted them. The secret is a dark grey battle droid body that throws the shoulders back about a stud and down just a hair, (...) (20 years ago, 25-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: New JE Moc: Shen Kai Powersuit

(...) Heh, I can see the pilot standing idly by as his suit jumps hurdles, does pushups, benchpresses wrecked PCS ships. Classic. :-) Thanks! -Chris (20 years ago, 25-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Mecha under construction: Make-a-Mecha 5-6-7-8

(...) I'm catching up. Here's the current status of mine (URL) (...) That's a bit too cunning for me :) (...) Here's mine as it's going together (URL) It looks a little pathetic and simple next to yours. Once I see how it looks with the legs on, I (...) (20 years ago, 25-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
