Re: 45 degree walls using hinges?

(...) (URL) tackled this problem in my motel building. I can take more detailed pics if you are interested. JB (21 years ago, 6-Feb-04, to lugnet.build)

  Microscale MOCs by bccook

Hi all, I've just now discovered a great gallery of microscale creations, including renditions of classic LEGO sets, by bccook: (URL) also have rendered what appears to be their own house in micro- minifig- and macro-scales: (URL) don't know what to (...) (21 years ago, 6-Feb-04, to lugnet.build.microscale) !

Re: 45 degree walls using hinges?

(...) Ah, my mistake. I was thinking in terms of a free-standing wall section that was attached only at the ends. It has the advantage of allowing you to do an angled step-out in a long wall, but the disadvantage of leaving visible gaps if you one (...) (21 years ago, 6-Feb-04, to lugnet.build)

Re: 45 degree walls using hinges?

(...) Well, that really depends on which parts you use. The brick hinges that were suggested have the hinge on the corners, so the wall really would be 5 studs long. --Bram (21 years ago, 5-Feb-04, to lugnet.build)

Re: Pander Hunter, an entry for the P-38 contest

(...) Thanx for the praise on the ships and you're spot on with the remarks about the site. When I finish the job I'm doing right now (I am LUGNETting in office time!) I should really do something about the lousy scripting. Alexander (21 years ago, 5-Feb-04, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: LEGO Table discussion

Hi Jon! I got my tables at IKEA about a year ago, but I decided on using the "AMON" table surface and "CURRY" table legs. AMON is, at least here in Sweden, availible in both 120 x 80 and 150 x 80 cm with a few selections on color. One being white. (...) (21 years ago, 5-Feb-04, to lugnet.build, lugnet.storage)

  Re: My first mech!

(...) Thanks! I'm not going to be building any new mecha this year - I've just started year 12 and I need all the time I can get ( I skipped year 10!) so if I'm a bit quiet, well, that's the reason Cheers Matt "Make it so" (21 years ago, 3-Feb-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: 45 degree walls using hinges?

(...) Math is harsh. Wouldn't it be *better* all around if sqrt(2) were exactly 1.4? Or 1.5, even better. (21 years ago, 5-Feb-04, to lugnet.build)
