  Re: Minifig Venice

(...) Wow. Big structures, lots of details. You sure use odd plates well for the decoration. Apart from the gondolas, I like the fisherman's boat, who seems to have caught spider crabs! The Doge's palace is amazing. (What are the screens made of?) (...) (21 years ago, 31-Dec-03, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Minifig Venice

(...) I... love it! It's awesome, the amount of detail you managed to put in all the buildings is absolutely overwhelming. My favourite is the Rialto Bridge, with the wedding party (?). Well done, you've captured the essence of the "Serenissima"! By (...) (21 years ago, 30-Dec-03, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Minifig Venice

(...) It's amazing! I love the balcony you made using yellow chalices. I also like how you caputred the slanted streets using stacked plates. The small shops that stick out of these small streets and alleys are a nice touch. Great work! Great (...) (21 years ago, 30-Dec-03, to lugnet.build)

  Minifig Venice

(URL) Hi all, just in time for the anual 1000steine.de-meeting after X-Mas ((URL)) I finished my minifig-scale model of Venice in Italy.   Re: Firestorm

(...) i KNEW it was an AC inspired design :)I have tried to imitate the style from armored core myself, but it is very difficult, alot of the forms dont translate well into lego. But i did like the idea of interchangeable parts so much that i (...) (21 years ago, 30-Dec-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Firestorm

(...) Thanks for the replies and suggestions Keith and Frank. I was orignially trying to copy an Armored Core mech but I ran into some problems and strayed from the original design.   Re: How do you guys do it?

(...) This is one of the MOC's I completed while sorting, as mentioned elsewhere in this thread: (URL) the control stick & base are counted as 2 separate parts, it's 22 pieces - but it never would have seen the light of day if I couldn't find those (...) (21 years ago, 30-Dec-03, to lugnet.build)

Re: How do you guys do it?

(...) There's one I'm still looking for, that someone posted on .space a while ago. It's the coolest thing I've seen. (...) Depends on the builder :P For me, that's true. I have a hard time building small, which is why I build both big and small, (...) (21 years ago, 30-Dec-03, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: How do you guys do it?

(...) As others have said, Welcome! Lots of great ideas in this thread, as a 'old-timer' I thought I could toss out a couple more. Don't feel you need to build HUGE things. Yes, some of us love to build massive things like 8-wide trains and 4+ foot (...)   Re: How do you guys do it?

(...) This is the way I got started. However, keep in mind, I make a fairly good living. I realize not everyone does or is to young to work at all, or may be out of work. What I am trying to say, is you do not have to be rich to enjoy this hobby. 1) (...) (21 years ago, 30-Dec-03, to lugnet.build)

Re: How do you guys do it?

(...) Mike, Here's what went on in my initial sort. Keeping in mind I decided to sort before I committed any money to a storage system, here's what I did: -- The Process -- I dumped one of my 14-gallon buckets full of brick onto a free table (freed (...)   Re: Japanese Koi

Totally cool! The 1x1 rounds work beautifully as scales. The pectoral fins are great too! Any future plans to do the sides as well? I'd love to see some close-ups of the tail too.   Re: How do you guys do it?
