Re: A Castle with a difference

(...) I had a chance to see this castle at LEGOWORLD 2003, and get to know the builder, Leo and his lovely wife very graciously shared a cabin with us at Lemenkulen (probably mangled that spelling but oh well). IT ROCKS! The pictures are amazing but (...) (21 years ago, 13-Dec-03, to lugnet.build, lugnet.castle)

Re: A Castle with a difference

(...) I think picture 18.jpg is the most telling because it shows the complexity of the wall construction. You have accomplished what was only a pipedream on my part. Thanks for showing it. My only quibble is that the extreme compression of the .jpg (...) (21 years ago, 13-Dec-03, to lugnet.build, lugnet.castle)

Re: A Castle with a difference

(...) In my opinion (1), its not entirely "eye-friendly" (2), but the work itself is amazing and the initial design is very nice. Its a great show piece. GREAT JOB!!! qualfications: (1) my stuff isn't that good so my opinion shouldn't hold carry a (...) (21 years ago, 13-Dec-03, to lugnet.build, lugnet.castle, FTX)

Re: A Castle with a difference

(...) Thank you for visiting my castle. Not only it would be expensive, but rather heavy too. Maybe a smaller kind of real looking castles? Leo. (21 years ago, 13-Dec-03, to lugnet.build, lugnet.castle)

Re: A Castle with a difference

(...) Thanks for your visit. The mottling was a random approach indeed. Just a kind of feeling. And by mixing different colours you can make bigger buildings, of course. Leo (...) (21 years ago, 13-Dec-03, to lugnet.build, lugnet.castle)

(...) Now that is a REAL castle - not one of these wimpy Lego ones with paper thin walls! I like it, and have bookmarked it. (...) I think that set would be somewhat expensive. :-) (21 years ago, 13-Dec-03, to lugnet.build, lugnet.castle)

Re: Evil just got way more eviller...

(...) By Plinky, that's Three-vil!! I should have nightmares but for the soft crunchy-sweet sourness of your Spamcakettes. Peace and Long Life, Three-vil Tw0nst3r (21 years ago, 13-Dec-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: A Castle with a difference

(...) Ooooooo, aaahhhhh! Did you find yourself constantly tweaking it to get just the right effect or did you attack the mottling with a random approach? Very nice effect either way, especially for the relatively small scale (compared to stuff at (...) (21 years ago, 12-Dec-03, to lugnet.build, lugnet.castle)

  A Castle with a difference

(URL) time not a LEGO-designed castle but a castle as real as possible. Take the grand tour and tell me what you think of it. Maybe a nice idea for LEGO next year? (21 years ago, 12-Dec-03, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build, lugnet.castle) !!

Hey, Tom, What part is used to make the Dr.'s Cranium?? I know I ain't got none, but don't know what to call it to find one... Thanks, James Wilson Dallas, TX (21 years ago, 11-Dec-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Canadian Flag Flower Mosaic

(...) It's very well done! Like the layered effect that others have pointed out. Though I would point out that this wasn't the first time the Canadian Flag was 'done up' in flowers...   Re: Canadian Flag Flower Mosaic

(...) They always felt, to me, as though they were made of a slightly different mix of plastic.... just a tiny bit softer. Perhaps so the thin stems don't break off? I'm not sure. Anyway... nice work!! All the best, Allan B. (21 years ago, 11-Dec-03, to lugnet.build.mosaic)

  Re: 2004 Products see?

(...) Ah yes, I do see the antenna's base before the base of the 1X1 cone. However, The antenna appears trans-orange, and the 1X1 plate with side loop (that I thought was the base for a new shorter antenna) looks like it's the same color. Does this (...)   Re: Canadian Flag Flower Mosaic

(...) Thanks! Yes, the stems definitely don't 'stick' as well as normal pieces, but the way I have them arranged here results in them holding quite a bit better than when they are on their own. (...) (21 years ago, 11-Dec-03, to lugnet.build.mosaic)
