  Re: Bridge Study the 13th

(...) All I can say is that somebody has WAAAAY too many 2x2 grey tiles. :) Very impressive! I like the detail you put into this. I'm no structural engineer like TJ but I can appreciate big detailed MOC's just as well as the next guy. :) The fact (...) (21 years ago, 14-Oct-03, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Bridge Study the 13th

Adrian where's SDLUG?? I'm still waiting!! I'd like to get a chance to meet you & see these bridges in person. I've been able to track more San Diego AFOL's through SCLTC & Bricklink (not to mention getting hit on by one of the girls that works at (...) (21 years ago, 14-Oct-03, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Bridge Study the 13th

(...) I can appreciate the complexity of a curved bridge deck. There are many here in Houston (road bridges) and it's impressive to see them. Of course they are plate girder construction, but the girders are curved as well! (as opposed to a (...) (21 years ago, 13-Oct-03, to lugnet.build)

  Bridge Study the 13th

October 13th, 2003 and here is Study 13. (URL) The rest of the photos are (URL) here> The only thing Study 13 shares with Study 12 is the deck. Study 12 was a disappointment. Unlike other bridges with an arch, Study 12's arch was a pain to design, (...) (21 years ago, 13-Oct-03, to lugnet.build, FTX) !!

  Re: it's finally here!

(...) wow! thanks for the compliment! the fact is, i was trying very hard to capture the essence of the eva in form. not to give myself propers or nothing, but i was pleased with the overall results of this model. however, as i mentioned in other (...)   Re: LEGO Sculpture: Crayola Crayon Box

Correct. Only, the black crayon is complete. Fonts: (URL) a complete exhibition, but I have been trying to document some of my lettering. eric (...) (21 years ago, 12-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

Re: LEGO Sculpture: Crayola Crayon Box

It's always fun seeing what you come up with Eric. Quick question about the crayons. It looks like the black crayon is the only one not meant to fit in the box. The other crayons are only tips, right? Ever thought of doing alphabets in Lego? In (...) (21 years ago, 12-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: My First Mecha

Elroy, I've been trying to find time to post about your debut MOC. I like this one so much, I saved it for last just to keep some attention on it a bit longer. You've catptured something that so many builders miss: the ability to shape the form. (...) (21 years ago, 12-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Puppy Mecha - F.I.D.O.

Hey, how can I fault you if you want to build Snoopy as a mecha? This is a great model that shows off the versatility of the parts and the builder. Great job! When can we expect Woodstock? ;) -Dave (21 years ago, 12-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Smith

Nice job on the 'Blacktron' mecha, Danny! I really enjoy mecha that put the design first and it's quite apparent that's what you were trying to do. I look forward to seeing more great creations from you in the future. -Dave (21 years ago, 12-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: it's finally here!

You've got nothing to apologize for, Jason! This is a phenominal piece of work! You've caputured the very essence of the EVA-not an easy feat to do in the brick. -Dave (21 years ago, 12-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: First mech

Ways to describe this mech: Jassimy Jassimish Jassimical Jassimological Jassimriffic Jassimastic Jassimxtreme Jassim-to-the-core Seriously, Dan, that is most definitely YOUR work I see there. Excellent job. So, how do you like building space AND (...) (21 years ago, 12-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Phantasm

I purposely waited until I could see this one in person to comment on it. Jeff, be it brick or technic parts, you do a bang up job! This model is no different in complexity of design other than the limited parts at your disposal. Congrats on (...) (21 years ago, 12-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Black Mamba Mk II

(...) Blame Percy. He's the bad one. (...) My goodness, Snow Daddy-o! This is a truly spiffy mech! Lots o' style all over the place on this one. The engines are my favorite part, by far. As was also mentioned-Dark Red....must build in Dark Red.... (...) (21 years ago, 12-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Hello All !!!

What an excellent way to enter the world of Lego Mecha. :) Personally, I like this model you made the most: (URL) , but that's just more in tune with how I view mecha. Gla Gla's armature is an excellent starting point based upon readily available (...) (21 years ago, 12-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Ryoichi Takagaki's latest works on brickshelf

The sheer amount of detail Ryoichi has managed to pack into this model is incredible! Looking at the thumbnail pics, I expected this to be a much larger model given the detailing I saw...Absolutely amazing! -Dave (21 years ago, 12-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Women and Eric?

lol! Even better, I just recognized one of those women as the person responsible for yanking me out of my Dark Ages all those many years ago...funny how small our AFOL world really is. -Dave (21 years ago, 12-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Ryoichi Takagaki's latest works on brickshelf

(...) Way, way, way, way cool..... Look at the amount of details! Check out the head! Check out the rifle! Heck, check out everything! Is it only me, or does it look like one of does Gundams that has the detachable back that can transform into a jet (...) (21 years ago, 12-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
