Believe It Or Not: LEGO! -- Part 2

As promised, I have written up a webpage documenting the craziness I recently experienced out in Hollywood... a rather lengthy webpage, at that: (URL) or comments are welcome, and feel free to corner me at Brickfest if you want to hear more stories (...)   Creative use of LEGO for model mecha building

Well; I can't say as I've got any new creations to put forth (though I keep putting off posting an older one for some reason), but I revisited an art site I've gone to in the past and was surprised at a section I'd missed before. I don't think this (...) (21 years ago, 6-Aug-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: The U. S. S. Roderik has been launched!

(...) Very impressive. The engine room is my favorite. I like the yellow pipes. Great lines on the ship. I like the "simple" elegance of it. I like the way you organized your brickshelf file as well. I took pix as I built a starship called the (...) (21 years ago, 6-Aug-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Aldebaran's New Clothes

Hey Chris! Sorry for the late reply, I've been at camp for a week. Anyways... Geez every aspect of her/it/him is done perfectly! You're older mecha looked sweet, but not as sweet as this. You covered everything that hints at it's posability, and did (...) (21 years ago, 6-Aug-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: large MOC: camel w/rider

(...) There's a kind of trestle bridge inside the torso. It's not large but serves the (probably) crucial purpose of distributing the weight onto the legs. Then the legs each contain a long Technic beam attached to the trestle and pointing downward (...) (21 years ago, 6-Aug-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: large MOC: camel w/rider

(...) Thanks! The textiles were definitely challenging-- I just meant they aren't closely based on "authentic" models. The trickiest part of the rider was doing the trim on the dress with only two 1x2 orange grilles and a bunch of 1x4 orange plates. (...)
