Re: Cramped city with a train and a monorail running through it soon. Need some help on how to do this.

(...) I hope everyone has had a chance to look at these. I just got a notice from my ISP that I was close to my monthly limit on web serving. I'll be taking these down. If I get a chance later, I may reduce the images size and re-post them. The page (...) (25 years ago, 10-Nov-99, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build, lugnet.trains)

  Re: LEGO Chess Set

Piece count estimation: The board squares each (of 32 black, 32 red) consist of: - 16 1x4 - 4 2x2 - 4 1x2 I'm not sure about the yellow grid... lots of 1x4, 1x6, 1x8 as well as some red pieces (unseen on bottom grid level interior). There are black (...) (25 years ago, 10-Nov-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build)

  Re: LEGO Chess Set

(...) I like it (even as a non-chess fan, but I liked the musical). A good use of "lateral" thinking too ;) How many pieces in total do you think? I reakon you should give the table option a go too. A bit more light on the model when you photograph (...) (25 years ago, 10-Nov-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build)

  Re: LEGO Chess Set

This chess set is cool! It looks a lot like the set in the newest Mania magazine (page 19) which is the best issue yet. With all the snow and stuff on the cover of this issue, I was expecting a preview of the Arctic Adventurers, but there was none. (...) (25 years ago, 10-Nov-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build)

Re: Vague Lousy Page is Finally Up

Cool! Your B&Ws remind me of recon photos! Remember those video camera shots of the smart bombs heading right for their targets in Desert Storm? Nice models:-) -John (...) (25 years ago, 10-Nov-99, to lugnet.boats, lugnet.build)

  Re: Freight Terminal

Nice. Captures the modern warehouse look nicely. Too many clear garage doors though, IMHO. (you should send them to me) (25 years ago, 10-Nov-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town)

  Awesome

Superb work, Dan. Just incredible. Someday, when I have a garage to play in, I hope to build a Space station on this level of size and detail. BTW, your pirate ship also took my breath away. Dave D. Jezek <danjezek@REMOVEaloha.net> wrote in message (...) (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Freight Terminal

(...) About a year ago, I scored 7 sets of complete garage doors on ebay at about $18 per set. (...) facade? I think it will end up just being a facade, that would be a HUGE building. (...) That is what my end result hopefully will be, just trains (...) (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town)

Vague Lousy Page is Finally Up

Hey, all- I finally have a few scans of older (1997-1998) warship constructions up: (URL) accidentally misattributed two of the images, but at least they're out there. Hopefully I'll be able to work on them, and get some colour scans as well, in (...) (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.boats, lugnet.build)

  Re: Freight Terminal

(...) Cool! Where'd you get all those garage doors? Are you going to build a warehouse behind those doors? Or is it just a facade? It'd be interesting to make a whole freightyard, where crates and other stuff could be transfered from giant ships to (...) (25 years ago, 9-Nov-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town)

  Freight Terminal

RE: Hehe, check out: "Burp adventure" -a 2000 lego set

(...) Ouch! After all TLG has done for us in the last month, could this not wait until April 1, 2000? Or at least include a belching Timmy at the top of the funny rock shaped thing :-) What do you bet this makes the rounds pretty quickly inside TLG? (...) ROTFL! That's great! How about spoofing the instructions for it too! 1. (picture of BURP) Alternate model: 1. (picture of burp on its side) Or how about taking one of the AT-AT pics from Mindfest and making a box out of that! KL (...) (25 years ago, 8-Nov-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

  Re: Imperial Stronghold

(...) I think the surface of the walls look a bit dull and level. If you could add a bit more texture to them, I think the models would look even better. Fredrik (25 years ago, 8-Nov-99, to lugnet.build)
