  Re: Another FSS Mecha

Hey, This is really cool. I especially think you nailed the shape of the legs and waist. Cool idea for the high heels. Bruce (21 years ago, 5-May-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(This is a second attempt at posting. The first apparently went into an inexplicable void.) Just a simple monitoring sys-I mean, uh, "communications relay centre". Gotta keep track of all those communications sattelites somehow, right? Don't worry, (...) (21 years ago, 5-May-03, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: Printable parts list/Lego visual dictionary?

(...) To find the trans colors in MLCad, just open the colors window. There's a sliders on the right side of the window, slide it down one "click". You should see all the trans colors. -Orion (21 years ago, 5-May-03, to lugnet.build, lugnet.cad)

Re: Anyone up for some sweeping changes?

(...) Dave, You have been doing a great job at keeping the sidebar up-to-date in terms of MOCs and websites. I would like to see a regular "Mecha Part of the Month" (since week seems a bit rushed) like at .space. I will email you later with ideas. (...) (21 years ago, 5-May-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Generic MBT

(...) You're branching out... :-) I like the use of the tubing. It adds a "custom built for this model" feeling. I also see some interesting parts used for the barrel. I'll keep them in mind for later. Is there room for a driver inside? (...) -Duane (...) (21 years ago, 5-May-03, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Found LRP:OFF sub website?

(...) Greg- To answer my own question, I found it in the Builderslinks section (while checking out the new format from our curator) and I realize that I have not been to that feature in so long and it offers so much. In "The Mech Theme builders site (...) (21 years ago, 5-May-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Anyone up for some sweeping changes?

As curator of .build.mecha, it is my duty to keep the sidebar up to date, informative, and clean. The one thing I've really been neglecting is the clean part of my duties. I hope the changes I've made have alleviated that. I'd really appreciate (...) (21 years ago, 5-May-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.admin.curators)

  Re: Station 39

Hey, I was impressed by Station 45, but this does top it. I was wondering, however, about those guns you made your minifigs (the ones coming off the drop ship.) How did you attach the Technic peg to the town binoculars? Trav (-|-) (21 years ago, 5-May-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Re: Station 39

Keith and his wife Mitzi (and their cats Elephant and Pickle :-) were kind enough to let me crash at their place last Saturday night (a week ago) and put up with me while I took photos of Keith's stuff.[1] I had a blast. Keith put on music, and we (...) (21 years ago, 5-May-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Re: Station 39

Whoah! Ya hit me right in the center of my olive-drab heart. I'm absolutely agog with this creation as it's truly an example of the results being greater than the sum of the parts. As somebody else noted this diorama goes beyond just a quality (...) (21 years ago, 5-May-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Re: Station 39

(...) Wow. It's all excellent. So excellent and well-fleshed out, in fact, that I agree with JHK. You have vehicles, backdrop and characters - you should make a story. Cheers, Paul (21 years ago, 5-May-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Re: Found LRP:OFF sub website?

(...) Greg- I have not seen that site either. How did you find it? I'm assuming the "OFF" stands for Official. I was able to access the chat and message forum sections but nothing else. Maybe it's due to my dial-up connection. All I know is that if (...) (21 years ago, 5-May-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Tricks!

(...) Most of my MOCs are sculpted with Technic parts, and most of my tricks are very specific to the individual MOC (or related group of MOCs), so I don't know how useful they'd be as general construction techniques, but there is one trick that I (...) (21 years ago, 5-May-03, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Will it never STOP?

Hey, I really like these mecha! I'm not terribly familiar w/ FSS, except what I've seen in Hobby Japan magazine. But As a mecha, I think these are really skillfully built. I do have a question and a suggestion. Question: How posable are these mecha? (...) (21 years ago, 5-May-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Have you put together two to ten LEGO parts in a particularly intriguing way to solve a particular modeling problem? I am currently working on a Miniland scale model of my 1967 International Travelall and because of the scale I can't use pure (...) (21 years ago, 4-May-03, to lugnet.build)
