Re: Escher's "Relativity" - a study in SNOT

This is beautiful. Maybe my favorite so far of your series in that it has no "tricks". Or does it? Do you have any photos from other angles? Bruce (22 years ago, 11-Apr-03, to lugnet.build)

  Escher's "Relativity" - a study in SNOT

After several months' absence due to non LEGO-related geeky activities... Daniel Shiu and I have just finished another Escher reproduction in LEGO. This time it's "Relativity"; the most excrutiating example of SNOT techniques I've ever had the (...) (22 years ago, 11-Apr-03, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build) !!

Re: PA004 -Open Atmosphere Suit- Scout Type

(...) What's cooking Andrew? Thanks, i am glad you liked it. I was pretty pleased myself with the end result. If I could only have my dream of building a whole army..... Oh well, maybe one day. Take care buddy. (22 years ago, 9-Apr-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

Re: PA004 -Open Atmosphere Suit- Scout Type

(...) What up G?! Thanks. I am hoping to get to the level of color mixing I have seen posted (u included). For now I am trying to stick to the basics, mostly because of money and parts I have, but I do love the industrial look... Later. (22 years ago, 9-Apr-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Re: More USS Duluth Photos

(...) Mmmmm. Finished it looks even better. I've gotta say, now that I can see it more closely, that I'm really intrigued by some of the solutions you've devised for microfig scale warship details.   Michael Lebelle's skyscrapers

My old definition of an awesomely realistic MOC: You look at the thumbnail on Brickshelf and aren't sure at first if it ABS or if it is a photo of the real thing used as a reference.   Re: Blue Beast Mecha

(...) Amado, I too really dig the head design! I also like the broad shoulders. Only criticism I have is that the joints/axles above the knees look out of place. ciao&salaam -Andrew GardenSLUG (22 years ago, 9-Apr-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Another MOC

(...) Soren, This mecha is great! I too like the "chunkiness" and I definitely can pick up a sense of character from the design. I particularly like the right-arm shield and the (what I presume is) battleaxe. ciao&salaam -Andrew GardenSLUG (22 years ago, 9-Apr-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)
