LEGOLAND Billund (and soon, Windsor/Carlsbad) now has a fairly comprehensive selection of transparent bricks for sale in bulk, so 'stained glass' mosaics should now become possible, and relatively affordable. Ankle joint consists of a dual worm table mounted back to back to form a square with two 9V motors driving the pivot rotation. The toes are highly geared down to provide additional balance control. Well, I'm nearing the end of my blitz of new MOCs. This is one of my favorites. I don't have enough pieces to build a really good large mech, so I stay small. When I was a kid, I had this book about, I think, Aztec gods ... anyway, the main character goes on a quest, and meets all these weird gods of lightning and what have you ... anyway, the reason I mention that ... that's what it reminds me of!
