(...) You might want to start with the track at a fixed hight (10-12 bricks high) above the streets, and running a loop. I have to say that the monorail is probably easier to do this with than the train...The train is a bit clunky to raise up high (...) (...) This was and is a problem in real cities. The solution is to either elavate the railway (or monorail) or go underground. Since I like to see my trains I would go with the elevated option. My city got smaller when I moved it up to the ledge and soon I'm going to have a train and a monorail running through it. My city is 40in X 190in. I just have to tell you aobut the way I have modified my Y-wing (from the Y-Wing & TIE-fighter set): You know that ion cannon? I have put the ion cannon on a micromotor, and then installed a switch where that white box should be lying, and finally, (...) Nice! Is it just me or is there some trend developing here? The last three models posted to this group have been fire department related (although I don't think Bryce had that in mind when he built his dalmation :-). Will -- Visit the Lego Beach (...) I don´t think it is shown very well on the pictures, but I *have* added texture. I sprinkled over sand (it´s not really sand but I don´t know the English word for it) before painting it. I own pov-ray but I think it is just too complicated for me, (...) (25 years ago, 15-Oct-99, to lugnet.build)
