Re: BricksWest Promo Flyer in the Lego Club Magazine

(...) Na... Mundanes is a much more generic term since it's used in both Hard SF and fantasy, and predates Rowling by at least 10, possibly 20, years... :-) (URL) bunches of other possible references found by googling using "mundanes SF term" as the (...)   Re: Snoopy MOC

Outstanding sculpture! You really captured the shapes of his body and head perfectly. The arms-wide-open pose is very welcoming. You just want to pick him up and hug him. Happiness is a warm puppy, you know. Bruce (22 years ago, 4-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

Re: BricksWest Promo Flyer in the Lego Club Magazine

(...) All true... I was talking about the mundanes though! (we know the LEGO model builders (both set designers and the model builders) like stuff they can't necessarily put into sets) (22 years ago, 4-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: BricksWest Promo Flyer in the Lego Club Magazine

(...) Well, actually, while it IS great exposure, I think the Lego guys know quite a bit about it. I mean, look at the Alternate models for alot of the starwars sets and stuff. Most (like the Imperial shuttle and the Republic gunship, among many (...) (22 years ago, 4-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: BricksWest Promo Flyer in the Lego Club Magazine

(...) This rocks... While we in the online community know of the neat stuff the .mecha gang does, mecha are definitely underexposed (and possibly underappreciated) out in the wide world. So this exposure is good news. (22 years ago, 4-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: BricksWest Promo Flyer in the Lego Club Magazine

(...) Yep! Since Eric and Cindy documented the Pavilion so well, the designers at LEGO asked to use those pictures. Since they showed so many of the mecha, as well as the great crowd interaction with Eric and the kids (including when they were (...) (22 years ago, 4-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Ahh I'm falling behind! Soren, these are really cool. I like all the MOCs you made. You have this very cool style of suit tech. Just great to look at. Compact and hearty!   Some "After-market" Ball Joint Mods

Well I'm buildin' a new mecha, and like usual it turned out too heavy for the ball joints on the ankles and hips. Instead of losing weight on the moc, I decided I wanted to make the ball joints stronger. The joint relies on the friction between the (...) (22 years ago, 3-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)
