He's great! I especially love the profile, and the fingers. Is Woodstock next? :) ---Will (22 years ago, 4-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

Re: BricksWest Promo Flyer in the Lego Club Magazine

(...) All true... I was talking about the mundanes though! (we know the LEGO model builders (both set designers and the model builders) like stuff they can't necessarily put into sets) (22 years ago, 4-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: BricksWest Promo Flyer in the Lego Club Magazine

(...) Well, actually, while it IS great exposure, I think the Lego guys know quite a bit about it. I mean, look at the Alternate models for alot of the starwars sets and stuff. Most (like the Imperial shuttle and the Republic gunship, among many (...) (22 years ago, 4-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Debut MOCs: Landmate Frenzy

(...) Thank you very much! I'm glad you like them. I've got a few more to photograph, so I'll probably post again soon. Take care, Soren (22 years ago, 4-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: BricksWest Promo Flyer in the Lego Club Magazine

(...) This rocks... While we in the online community know of the neat stuff the .mecha gang does, mecha are definitely underexposed (and possibly underappreciated) out in the wide world. So this exposure is good news. (22 years ago, 4-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: BricksWest Promo Flyer in the Lego Club Magazine

(...) Yep! Since Eric and Cindy documented the Pavilion so well, the designers at LEGO asked to use those pictures. Since they showed so many of the mecha, as well as the great crowd interaction with Eric and the kids (including when they were (...) (22 years ago, 4-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Some "After-market" Ball Joint Mods

Wow Tony. These are incredible. I'm definately gonna steal this one: (...) I have no doubt I will! Love those ball joints. Take care, Soren (22 years ago, 3-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Debut MOCs: Landmate Frenzy

(...) (Goes into anime-style "superdeformed" mode and squeals "He likes them, he likes them! Yaaaaaaay!") They'd barely be a snack for your stuff though... If you like my pathetic landmates you might consider buying a set of Appleseed manga. (...) (22 years ago, 3-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Red M&M guy

(...) captured the look of the eyes and mouth, and the "M" is very well done too. The only improvement I might suggest is making the front and back a little less flat. Welcome to the world of LEGO sculpture! Is this your first large sculpture? (...) (22 years ago, 3-Feb-03, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Mickey Mouse

This has been a ongoing project for some time. I first started it last year but it was destroyed when I dropped it during a move from one room to another. It was torn down and the parts used for other projects (red M & M guy and some of the Golden (...)   Re: Debut MOCs: Landmate Frenzy

Ahh I'm falling behind! Soren, these are really cool. I like all the MOCs you made. You have this very cool style of suit tech. Just great to look at. Compact and hearty! I like the way these have the mini-fig pilot and how chest and head portions (...) (22 years ago, 3-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Debut MOCs: Landmate Frenzy

  Some "After-market" Ball Joint Mods

Well I'm buildin' a new mecha, and like usual it turned out too heavy for the ball joints on the ankles and hips. Instead of losing weight on the moc, I decided I wanted to make the ball joints stronger. The joint relies on the friction between the (...) (22 years ago, 3-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Debut MOCs: Landmate Frenzy

(...) Sorry, should have been more clear. It was a present, but I had to split the price with the giver. Long story, don't ask, blah blah blah. I do know of someone who got one at half price, but I have no more information. Take care, Soren (22 years ago, 3-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

BricksWest Promo Flyer in the Lego Club Magazine

Hey guys, I just noticed that three of the six pictures on the BricksWest flyer that came with the Lego Club magazine are of the mecha table. In particular Eric Sophie is in all three pics!!! (though he's barely in one) Props Eric! Also in the pics (...) (22 years ago, 3-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)
