Re: New builder and new mech (Mechastruct Entry: SRX-032 "Rook")

(...) I seem to have a lot of black in my collection. I know it does not photograph well, but I think it is cool, especially with colors such as green and tan. I like the reactor, too. It took me a while to get it to look right. (...) The legs are (...) (22 years ago, 23-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

power to the neophytes! welcome, welcome. i'm new here too, and it's good to see more mech-ers coming out of the closet (or is it hangar?) love your mech, especially the chain gun (chain guns are our friends...he,he,he). nice proportions and color (...) (...) Welcome Chris! Always good to see new designs. This one is quite impressive for a first post. I really dig the color scheme, except there seems to be a tad bit too much black. Maybe I only dislike this because black doesn't photograph well. (...) (22 years ago, 23-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

New builder and new mech (Mechastruct Entry: SRX-032 "Rook")

Hello, My name is Chris Searing. I have been lurking around LUGNET for a few years now. I finally decided to show myself , mostly because the Mechastruct contest urged me to do so. I have been building my own mechs (yes, mechs. NOT mecha, although (...) (22 years ago, 23-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mechastruct Entry: Mighty Mech

(...) Hi Chris! Hmm, interesting view. (...) Hey nice compliment! (...) As long as I make dinner, do the dishes, balance the bills, paint the house, and be a sweetheart. I can build. Althought I used up my quota! To tell the truth, I enjoy making (...) (22 years ago, 22-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mechastruct Entry: Mighty Mech

(...) S! thanks, I actually had to go and look at your TG 3 because I thought I was making an inadvertant copy of the feet. I went and checked and saw it was simular but not a rip off, whew!!! Anyway I had that Mech in the back of my head when I was (...) (22 years ago, 22-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) Hey MP! ya, I agree, ....and that's what made it so fun! I also like how it's mounted on a ball joint. (...) Well, the inner part (closest to the body) is a little floppy. But I did manage to make a new stiffen technique. In this picture: (...) (22 years ago, 22-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: What do you sit on when you build?

(...) It's a pretty good idea, and I appreciate the suggestion, but I think the problem with that or any sort of chair for me is that it would be too restrictive of my movement. When I build, I'm surrounded by bins 360 degrees, so I'm always turning (...) (22 years ago, 22-Dec-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.storage)
