  Re: Contest....Maybe...If you really wanna.

(...) Top idea! I have just gotten into some real high-detail mech building. And the two categories is a really cool idea. I'm in the middle of a model I could enter at the moment but I can't tell whether it's a mech or mecha :D. I say have the (...) (22 years ago, 29-Sep-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: LEGO Sculpture: Eiffel Tower

from (URL) : "In spite of this height, the Eiffel Tower has just four floors. All are served by specially designed elevators that, instead of running up a vertical track, move along a curve dictated by the tower's sloping form." The photos clearly (...) I spent last night trying various things with tire hats, and surprisingly, Horse Artillery crossed my mind to... though the French were the only ones to wore the bushbies... I need tarleton (...)   Re: Horse Artillery (was Re: Hussars!)

(...) Magnifique! I like the uniforms, the carriage, and the gun is wonderful - so simple, so elegant, so, just so! Most excellent. I already have a half dozen red Hussar types sitting on my monitor. Now its off to build some light field pieces. i (...) (22 years ago, 29-Sep-02, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Horse Artillery (was Re: Hussars!)

(...) Actually there is.... Port Brique now has horse artillery. ;-) (URL) horse artillery? Because I had a few spare blue torsos, and a lot more of those old tyres... and some superficial research showing horse artillerists wearing large busbies. (...)   Re: Question about MOC

(...) Ahoy Sean! If you're just bridging the two baseplates with a bridge, then the best idea would be to *not* try and join them. Keep them seperate (it makes moving the MOC much easier), and just place the bridge between them when they're joined. (...)   Re: Mega Bloks M1A1 Abrams Tank

(...) Point me to a LEGO model in the last 50 years with an equivalent part count and price and which was as scrupulously accurate as you're demanding the MegaBloks model to be. Those six-wide LEGO trains and four-wide LEGO vehicles and doorless (...) (22 years ago, 29-Sep-02, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Question about MOC

(...) How long is the bridge? If the bridge is long, there will be problems with the joints staying together without enough reinforcement. Use long plates and join them on the top and bottom with plates lengthwise...the longer the parts, the better. (...) (22 years ago, 29-Sep-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.pirates, lugnet.build)

  Re: You've got the touch!

It does look that way in the pic though ..I was just trying to get Optimus, the trailer, his little robot, and the autobot matrix all in the same shot. I will post some more where he is (...)   Re: Contest....Maybe...If you really wanna.

I wanna....though I won't win anything it would be the first contest I'd like to be part of. Maybe an "inspired" category.....like star wars, comics, or movies. (22 years ago, 29-Sep-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Contest....Maybe...If you really wanna.

(...) mechs and mecha :) mechs being the super bulky not as moveable models, and mecha being the super agile models. ( i want mech and mecha in different catagories because anyone else's mecha will blow my mechs away :) ) (22 years ago, 29-Sep-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  removing print from textured bricks

Does anybody know how to remove the printing from bricks with texture, like a standard slope? I've tried brass-o, but that removes the texture just as much as the paint, and leaves the brick with an odd look and feel. Any suggestions would be most (...) (22 years ago, 28-Sep-02, to lugnet.build)

Re: 2 New MOCs - Thunderer Hovertank and MkIIc Command Walker

(...) Hey, thanks Geordan. Yeah the hover coils were originally supposed to be a big multicoloured mess (black, red, blue and tan) but I decided that it definitely looks cooler when they're mostly the same colour. I wanted a design that looked like (...) (22 years ago, 28-Sep-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build.military)

  Question about MOC

Wassssup Everyone, I recently tried to make and MOC by combining a Eldorado Fortress and an Imperial Trading Post. I was making headway for a bit, but crossed 2 problems. 1, I don't know how to build a bridge across the 2 mountain baseplates without (...)   Contest....Maybe...If you really wanna.

I have mulling over the idea of a mecha contest in my head for a few days now. I would really like to host it, and I can get my hands on some LEGO prizes for the winners.   Personal Orbital Insertion Vehicle

This is a prototype space ship for the upcoming Bricktopia space port. Unfortunately, it turned out too big to use in such an urban landscape, so it will have to be relegated to remote launch sites.
