  Re: New brickshelf gallery

(...) FWIW, the Kubelwagen looks to be a modified version of Tosiaki's gorgeous little model: (URL) like the addition of the rear-view mirrors using the little taps. Plus, the Afrika Corps motif is always a perennial favorite in these quarters! That (...) (22 years ago, 26-Sep-02, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: LEGO Sculpture: Eiffel Tower

I have a better idea. The real tower has two elevators to travel to the first story. If you were to build these you could possibly put some extra supports inside and remove the white bricks. Of course to be realistic you could also put two huge (...) (22 years ago, 26-Sep-02, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

Interesting custom creations on eBay - NOT my auction

I'm only posting this link because these items are an inventive use of Lego, and others may be interested in them as I was.   Re: LEGO Sculpture: Eiffel Tower

I built in a few technic beams with the idea of using pins. However, the pins alone would not supported the 40+ pounds of LEGO above it, so the pillar was necessary. IN the end, I forewent the use of the pins since they were a pain to line up (...) (22 years ago, 25-Sep-02, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: LEGO Harpsichord

I clicked on this expecting to see a Minifig or even a ScaleX sized model. Not a HUMAN sized and WORKING model! Shouldn't this guy be getting the LEGO version of the Oscar? Pulitzer Prize?
