Interesting! Up until now, I had categorically dismissed all non-discrete forms of linear motion. Cam mechs are a wonderful idea! I gave them a try though, and sadly, didn't work out as I had hoped. Luke, I'm stummped too! Although I'm just not sure at what your trying to accomplish. Maybe these two pix can help. I use a Cam Mechanism to achive linear motion. The end out put is a controlled recipricating motion. see the pully wheel behind GG's (...) (23 years ago, 8-Aug-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)
