  Constructing Round 6-Wide?
 
Has anyone ever done any construction of cylindrical objects with a diameter of 6 studs? Lego produces a number of parts with diameters 2, 4, and 8, but AFAIK, the only part at diameter 6 is <part:4285 webbed rader dish>. I remember (and I'll go (...) (22 years ago, 17-Jul-02, to lugnet.build)

Chris, you did that nice looking Spetnaz SOF Hind that was posted a while back on brickshelf right? That MOC, along with the afore-mentioned canopy parts, were my primary inspiration to try and tackle the Hind. The 5 bladed rotor mounted no your (...) I just completed my D-44 Landing Barge model, you can see it here: (URL) wanted to build a really large craft capable of transporting two APCs. I used Technic half pins and plates to form the sides. Of course there is also the term Herc. Refering to a design concept found in the Earth Siege/Star Siege Universe. Hmm...As far as I was aware Mech was singular and not indicative of a specific style; with Mecha being the plural. Ye Olde Merriam-Webster's dictionary lists Mech. as being the abbreviated form of Mechanical or Mechanics. Either way though, Lego or (...) (22 years ago, 15-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Eric and Geordan are right, according to my what I know. A mecha is pretty much a Anime creation, something like a Mobile Suit or Gundam (MS Gundam) or a Labor (Patlabor). A mecha is a term from Battletech/Mechwarrior, and is short for a Battlemech (...) (22 years ago, 15-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)
