300 Years Before: Desert Landscape II

Hello@all, some of you were wondering why Zafar is a _black_ building in a hot environment. I built the answer this weekend. Once you followed the link, you maybe hear music. You can turn it off by clicking the troll who puts a banana into the (...) (22 years ago, 2-Jul-02, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.build, lugnet.announce.moc) !!

  Re: Circular airlock!

Chris, Great job. Now, if you lined the inside with sandpaper, turned it on it's side, and attached a motor, you could have a spiffy rock (or minifig) tumbler. - Sean (22 years ago, 2-Jul-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

  Re: Abston Church status

(...) I did a search for weblog on Google, and didn't find anything (quickly) which gave me any idea what it is. I didn't even need anything more than a Lugnet posting to convince myself I couldn't host pictures on my own web site (see this posting: (...) (22 years ago, 1-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.arch)

Re: New creation: The Field dog

Swweeeet. I particuarily like the articulation. Field Dog's got a nice stance to it. Those feet of yours, outstanding. Looks very battle ready, and the armament is capable but not overdone. (though I think it could use just a little more, and then (...) (22 years ago, 1-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Circular airlock!

(...) Thanks Lindsay. (...) You could, and that was my original idea, but then you couldn't use the 1x4 w/ studs on side, you'd have to use something that accepts studs (i.e. 2 1x2 technic bricks w/ two holes). And I couldn't find mine. :-( So yes, (...) (22 years ago, 1-Jul-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

  Re: Circular airlock!

(...) That's magnificent! It reminds me of the "transporter" on my old Star Trek playset (wow, that was a LONG time ago--1977, I think) that worked on a similar principle. But I haven't thought about it since--that's an excellent employment of a (...) (22 years ago, 1-Jul-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

  Re: Circular airlock!

(...) Hmm... <storing in for-future-use file> That's a good idea. -Chris (22 years ago, 1-Jul-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

  Re: Circular airlock!

(...) You might be able to do it by topping the cylinder with an 8x8 round plate (which is mostly tile anyway, except for the four studs in the centre), and recessing the 2x2 turntable into a layer of plates above. Cheers Richie Dulin (22 years ago, 1-Jul-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

  Re: Circular airlock!

(...) Thanks Jude. It'll never all be done, don't worry. Always new ideas from everyone. This is probably my first (or second) real *original* idea, with no evolution from someone else's stuff. (...)   Re: Circular airlock!

(...) Thanks Ross. (...) No, you wouldn't be able to seal it flush with the door. I just meant to put some additional tiles on top (maybe like a 6x6 area, turtable included). Just to add a bit more to it. (...) Yep. -Chris (22 years ago, 1-Jul-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)
