  Re: How do collect?

Scott & All, (Gotta like those Scott's!) : ) (...) The only odd question is the one that is not asked. (...) No. I buy a multitude of different sets, depending on price and part selection. EX: Soccer, Studios - Don't like the theme, but the parts (...) (22 years ago, 20-May-02, to lugnet.build)

  How do collect?

I know this is an odd question but I am curious how everyone collects? Do you collect just the sets you like? Do you collect a favorite "system"? Do you collect just the systems you "MOC" in? Do you collect sets more for "parts shopping" rather than (...) (22 years ago, 20-May-02, to lugnet.build)

Re: TKOI Create a Creature Contest Judging Delayed

(...) Don't stress over it. I was just worried that it had been dropped due to the relatively small number of entries. Bruce (22 years ago, 20-May-02, to lugnet.build.contests)

Re: Ash, Gentlemen and Cabs....oh my

(...) Thanks Gil. Yiu can't go wrong with a Ford LTD, esspecially a flying one :). (...) I'll see what I can do. With summer finally here, things have kinda come to a stand still in the building area. Too nice outside to be trapped indoors building (...) (22 years ago, 20-May-02, to lugnet.build)

Re: Ash, Gentlemen and Cabs....oh my

(...) Ok. I guess it wasn't as bad as I thought (...) Thanks. Also, it is a little too dark to see but there is a pistol down a bit from the cup for a little added protection. You never know who you'll pick up these days. (...) (22 years ago, 20-May-02, to lugnet.build)

  Visitor from Japan

We have a visitor this month from Japan. It's Ken's Great Aunt Fumiko Takara. She saw the Lego version of us all and thought it would be nice if there was one of her too. Soo... I made her one. It's pretty exact except her hair is stark white. I (...) (22 years ago, 20-May-02, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Ice Planet Entry: Snowman

Hi all, More Ice Planet-y goodness! This time around it's the Snowman, a light utility/combat mecha. Wide feet and a low profile make it easy to manuever on ice. The laser cutter comes in handy for slicing through the ice caverns and enemy (...) (22 years ago, 20-May-02, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, lugnet.build.contests)

  Re: 1/4th stud offsets.......

When I first decided to do this progect. I was thinking it would be harder to do. But to get the idea of what I did, I made a 5 and half wide section. Then offset that to the train car. And that is how the 1/4th stud offset was accomplished. All (...) (22 years ago, 20-May-02, to lugnet.build)

  Re: 1/4th stud offsets.......

(...) I'd say your way is pretty good! That's a clever idea, taking half the offset on each side that way. People have also demonstrated 1/5 stud offsets as well, (IIRC Gianluca Morelli did I think), so using these two together it ought to be (...) (22 years ago, 20-May-02, to lugnet.build)

  1/4th stud offsets.......

I was wondering if anyone else has come up with a good way to do 1/4th stud offsets. Normaly an offset is done with this part. (URL) that gets you half a stud. Since LEGO parts seem to always fit together so nicely its hard to get a minute offset. I (...) (22 years ago, 20-May-02, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Shocktrooper - version 3.0

(...) Yeah, sorry about that. The resolution of my JamCam isn't so good. I went back and re-edited the pics some- I couldn't do much about the detail, but I did work the graininess out them. I love the (...) Thanks. I think those torso parts are (...) (22 years ago, 20-May-02, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, lugnet.technic.bionicle)

Re: Railing prototype for heavy cruiser

I use a lot of pirate hooks and straw tubing on my train models as this example: (URL) was thinking of doing something similar, but with dark gray tubing, for the Cleveland class cruiser I have on the back burner. A second row of railing could be (...) (22 years ago, 20-May-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Shocktrooper - version 3.0

(...) Hey there, Todd! v3.0 might be the best redesign of a MOC I've seen in some time, though I've got the same problem as Chris-fuzzypicitis. I love the inclusion of the Bohrok parts into this design, espacially the torso parts. It adds a level of (...)   Re: Shocktrooper - version 3.0

(...) I've always liked the shocktrooper design; I feel it's one of the more innovative mecha that use the Throwbot ball an sockets. This one looks very nice, too. One thing, though - any chance of higher quality pictures? There are hints of detail (...) (22 years ago, 19-May-02, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  Re: Ever seen this brick?

(...) THank you sir! I have since found out myself, that these are in fact Tyco 45s. I know they yellow, (obviously) but would like to find out if they are available in red. Would you be willing to part with the ones you have? The great Tyco earch (...) (22 years ago, 19-May-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Re: Ever seen this brick?

(...) Sorry I couldn't comment earlier--I didn't even see this thread until I spotted the image on Brickshelf while browsing your fantastic fire engine models. To answer your question, Frank is indeed correct--it's TYCO. I have about 25 of these (...) (22 years ago, 18-May-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

TKOI Create a Creature Contest Judging Delayed

(...) I'm sorry Bruce, I'm really trying, but some of the judges have still not given me their rulings. In a few weeks, I'm just going to give up and make rulings from the results from the judges I have. Please be patient with me as I attempt to (...)
