  Re: Rebel Blockade Runner . . . Holy Crap ! !

(...) Why dump the parts out of the bags? Usually, the parts are organized *mostly* by size -- all the smallest parts in one bag, all the biggest parts in another bag, and then everything in between going whereever it goes. Once you learn which bag (...) (22 years ago, 6-May-02, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.build)

  Re: Rebel Blockade Runner . . . Holy Moly ! !

(...) When I was describing the UCS X-Wing to a non-AFOL, his first response was, "Gee, I imagine that the box includes a tray to sort out all of those parts." What a simple way for LEGO to add value: imagine if the packing for these mega-kits (...) (22 years ago, 6-May-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Ok! Why not - A Little Grey Bot

(...) (URL) man, I envy your time for building, your skill and the amount of bricks you own - but I LOVE the inspiration! Thanks! /Tobbe (URL) (22 years ago, 6-May-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Rebel Blockade Runner . . . Holy Crap ! !

(...) Yeah, that's often what I do for large sets. I won't quite *sort* the pieces so much as empty out the bags into seperate piles. And since all the X pieces in Y color come in a single bag (usually), it saves actually having to *really* sort the (...) (22 years ago, 6-May-02, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.build)

  Re: Rebel Blockade Runner . . . Holy Crap ! !

My thinking here is that there is a polynomial or even exponential time function at work with large sets. The more parts a set has, the greater the fraction of total build time is spent looking for a particular part. The way to decrease that (...)   Re: Ok! Why not - A Little Grey Bot

Hey Kepplah, The only differnces are external. They are the same design thru-out. Really the only differences are in what I could come up with to complete each color. Which is a good thing because it gives the series simularity while each LB is (...) (22 years ago, 6-May-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Wow. That's crazy dude. I've been meaning to ask, how much do the little bots vary? Of course the color, and alot of surface deatails are different, but what else? Ok, how about a pink one? Or maybe dark blue. :-D (...) (22 years ago, 5-May-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New to boards and part help....

(...) Okay thanks for the tips guys I'll pick up a couple of that Bionicle set tomorrow. Since the design of an Evangelion (big robots from show of same name) is so anorexic-looking, I decided to go with a little more than 2 studs wide for the (...) (22 years ago, 4-May-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)
