  Re: I forgot my Camera!

(...) Well you have *tried* to hi-jack Eric's thread for something to inflict pity upon yourself. Selfish at the very least I must say. >:-( anyways... Bummer bout the camera Eric, sounds like you had a cool little display there, maybe next time. (...) (23 years ago, 9-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: The Mantis - To take apart or not take apart?

(...) I've thought about this issue for a day. I think Joel has thought about it much longer. (: First I asked, do I have any MOCs that have survived? Good luck. I just moved and have not unsealed the boxes yet. The funny thing is, the MOCs I've (...) (23 years ago, 9-Mar-02, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Lego Technic Exo-suits

Hey, these are cool! I dig them very much-- you know, I almost don't notice the lack of unified colour scheme on the Hulk; it gives it a worn-in look, the kind of thing that made Joe Johnston's Star Wars designs so lively and realistic. the models (...)   My Town Contest Entry: Beechcraft

L Aircraft (URL) aircraft is modelled after the beechcraft baron. The real beechcraft is a twin engine that seats six people - in minifig scale it seats two! Thanks, Kevin Dixon kevin-dixon@rogers.com (23 years ago, 9-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.town)

Re: The Mantis - To take apart or not take apart?

Poor Eric! I understand your pain. I've just restarted into LEGO a short while ago and really can't imagine taking apart one of the things I've built. But all the nice LEGO-parts used in the models are too important to leave them "unused", so be (...) (23 years ago, 9-Mar-02, to lugnet.build)

Re: The Mantis - To take apart or not take apart?

(...) Yes... like some grotesque comic book bounty hunter, I shall keep their heads on a shelf. They shall stare at me longing to once again be whole. But only in the virtual reality of LDraw shall they remain, cataloged for the ages long past their (...) (23 years ago, 9-Mar-02, to lugnet.build)

Re: The Mantis - To take apart or not take apart?

LFB, so you to ponder the take apart of a grand creation. Looks like there is wisdom to the sacrifice. Maybe we oughta have a Gardenslug meeting and help eachother take them apart, sort of like a mid-wife during birth! Legomaster (...) (23 years ago, 9-Mar-02, to lugnet.build)

Re: The Mantis - To take apart or not take apart?

Yo! Thanks! So you'll keep the heads, interesting, and the temtation of the good parts sings to you too. Beleive me it helps to know how you would deal with this. Many thanks. Legomaster (...) (23 years ago, 9-Mar-02, to lugnet.build)

Re: The Mantis - To take apart or not take apart?

ug, this is the bitter sweet part of Lego for me as well. I'll put myself into the Lego, it's what part of what makes the end result so cool. But, I also know, no matter how cool, there's something else that needs to be built. Something inside titan (...) (23 years ago, 9-Mar-02, to lugnet.build)
