Thanks Grady! (...) Yeah, I'd be interested in seeingsome more myself from others. :-) (...) Hey thanks, that is definitely the best way to show off all of the armnament. Thanks again Grady! -Geordan- (...) (23 years ago, 7-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.military)

New Office Building - Obal Office

I am proud to announce my latest building: the Obal Office. (URL) getting a bunch of this arch(1) in white, I wanted to use them. So after "borrowing" some ideas from a few people.(2) I made this 2 nights before 2002 GATS in Novi. I am very happy (...)   Re: New Moc: Russian Attack Helicopter, Ka-50 'Hokum' (Werewolf)

Oh a counter rotating Helio! Awww man get out of town with that kick butt landing gear set up! wow! Dang and the cockpit setup is sweet to. I like the Tail area of the 'copter and the array of ordinance is impressive. Cool deal. Hey can I fly around (...) (23 years ago, 7-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: New Moc: Russian Attack Helicopter, Ka-50 'Hokum' (Werewolf)

Really nice job, Geordan! That is an awesome MOC. You did an excellent portrayal. I really like the missile tubes! Now if only I could find the time to finish my Huey.. ~Drew (23 years ago, 7-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: New Moc: Russian Attack Helicopter, Ka-50 'Hokum' (Werewolf)

Congratulations! The chopper is very well portrayed, I like it very much. Of course one of the most interesting features is the unusual placement of rotors (at least in the West it is unusual...). I assume these particular ones are non-functional, (...) (23 years ago, 6-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Sprite Light Mech

I like the Sprite alot... it looks quite posable and sturdy enough so that you could actually PLAY with it and not have it fall apart on you. Of course MY mechs never do that HAHAHAHA *looks around nervously* I like the color scheme and weapons (...) (23 years ago, 6-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New Moc: Russian Attack Helicopter, Ka-50 'Hokum' (Werewolf)

(...) That's a very good likeness of the Hokum! As far as the real thing, I prefer the Hind in terms of looking more sinister and maybe instilling more fear in the enemy. I think an Apache or an A-10 will do the same thing though. "Red Dawn" had (...) (23 years ago, 6-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Sprite Light Mech

(...) Yep, sleep til I can sleep no more and then, BUILD!! (...) Thanks, I am quite happy with the posability. This is the first mech I've been able to give a realistic reason for how to get in and out too. Mark Neumann (URL) of the Snow Leopard (...) (23 years ago, 6-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Brand-new mechs from yours truly!!!

(...) I'd have to agree with you there, Mark. I have been seeing some really great stuff around here lately and I'm sure that trend will continue as Lego comes out with its new '02 lineup which will hopefully provide us mechies with new pieces to (...)   Re: New Moc: Russian Attack Helicopter, Ka-50 'Hokum' (Werewolf)

Great looking model. As a semi helicopter buff myself it is great to see some models. I especially like the pictures you have with the armament spread in front. (...) (23 years ago, 6-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Nosrai light mecha

I'm glad you like it. As for the SNOT design, esp. around the arm, I didn't plan it like that. It just happened. Version 2 will change some of that. I'm trying not to make drastic design changes. Travis Dickinson (...) (23 years ago, 5-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Nosrai light mecha

I would like to thank everyone for their compliments and suggestions. I am in the process of implementing those suggestions with a few changes of my own. Version 2 will be up later this week. Version 1 will remain b/c I still like it. Travis (...) (23 years ago, 5-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Nosrai light mecha

Thanks. Actually, this color scheme is possible. The only problem is that to get most of the sand green parts, you need the Statue of Liberty sculpture ($200 - ouch). I'm sure the other common colors would look good in place of the sand green. (...) (23 years ago, 5-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Nosrai light mecha

Depending on size, I try to get decent elbow and knee movement; good hip and ankle movement for a leg forward stance or legs apart stance; and arm rotation along each axis. I will sacrifice some movement for stability. The kneeling stance was a pain (...) (23 years ago, 5-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Nosrai light mecha

This is the first mecha I've gotten to kneel. Of course, my previous mecha weren't built with kneeling in mind. I don't know what to call that melee weapon, but it's my first success at that type. As for the hands, I used that design b/c it works, (...) (23 years ago, 5-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)
