  Re: Gone soft...

(...) Who is us? Maybe I should open it to the use of any group in keeping with the sappy theme...hmmm, means I may have to produce a version with higher resolution should anyone wish to print it for some reason. It might make a cool iron-on... -- (...) (23 years ago, 12-Dec-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Gone soft...

(...) Okay, no one else do this please. It can be done and it will be done, I just need some time to do it and the hands will indeed hold a pencil (I just checked with my real life pair of mecha hands). I am telling y'all -- bendy arms is where it's (...) (23 years ago, 12-Dec-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Gone soft...

That is ver nice, I like the sentiment, the design and everything. Cool, a worthy group or cause should or would be cool to adopt the logo. Hmmm....could it be us? Eric www.mylegomaster.com (...) (23 years ago, 12-Dec-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build.mecha)

Yes back and with a Mecha Creature! Oh I see how you used those red car seats on the legs/knees! Good colors too! Eric www.mylegomaster.com (...) (23 years ago, 12-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: I'm back, and with a new Mecha!

(...) Very cool. I love the 'head'-- very expressive. I also like the colour scheme very, very much. I'd like to see a whole troup; variations in different configurations-- four leggers, small scouts, huge 'bulldogs'-- it just strikes me that it's a (...)   Re: Military Question: Tanks and Motorcycles

I don't know anything about how German motorcycles actually were used in WWII, but from my own limited military experience doing my national service in the Norwegian army, I can imagine how they might have been used. Often see them with a sidecar (...) (23 years ago, 12-Dec-01, to lugnet.off-topic.fun, lugnet.build.military)

  Knowledge base

The train group is currently talking about collaborating on a book. I have long thought that the community might want to develop a knowledge base of lego expertise. I envisioned this as a collection of articles rather than a book and It would (...) (23 years ago, 12-Dec-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build, lugnet.announce) !

(...) version of Escher's Drawing Hands. (...) Nothing personal Froggy, but if you do cool work like this (the hands, not the sugar-coated sentiment surrounding them), keep feeling what you're feeling. :) thanks, James (23 years ago, 12-Dec-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Magnetic Levitator

(...) Four would be sufficient, but they'd have to be arranged in a tetrahedral formation, which I don't think can be readily done for geosynchronous satellites. There are more fundamental flaws with the idea, though. (You'd want some sort of (...) (23 years ago, 12-Dec-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

Re: I'm back, and with a new Mecha!

(...) Ah, well I like the legs and the body, and the shape of the gun. But the head with the big tongue looks kind of silly, IMO. But overall, it's a nicely built mecha. :^) ~Grand Admiral Muffin Head (23 years ago, 12-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: I'm back, and with a new Mecha!

(...) Very nice Joel! I like it when someone comes up with something original that is neither a mobile suit or a mech (example BMW). The whole thing looks great. Keep it up! Bobby (23 years ago, 12-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) Very well put. And all too true. The ultimate builder's dream is that eventually some one company comes along that manufactures all of the good stuff from TLC, Ritvik, and the already defunct Tyco. Patents do expire after all... -- Hop-Frog (23 years ago, 12-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)
