  Re: bullfrog

(...) Thank you very much. Now, as to making it minifig scale, were you thinking of just changing the cockpit configuration, and maintaing the overall size, or were you thinking of scaling down the whole thing? In either case, all I've DATed is the (...) (23 years ago, 11-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New mechas

(...) Oh, man, I saw these, too. I was completely astounded. Each one uses a number of unique building techniques-- that is to say, they each utilize assembly methods different from the next one. This is the thing that amazes me! It's not as if one (...) (23 years ago, 11-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New mechas

The microfig dendrobium is fantastic, a beautiful origami. The old school combiner robot is super cool. I'd guess he had a high grade model as a reference to get the structural details, otherwise it becomes a very difficult design problem because of (...)   My house is too big! : (

Hi, Woah talk about inexperienced. I've never built a house from my own imagination before. I never knew it would be this difficult. I have the exterior of a house built; It's roughly the shape of a rectangle, 44x30 studs, and 11 bricks high. I was (...) (23 years ago, 11-Dec-01, to lugnet.build)

  Boba Fett's Tractor

After Turkey day I braved the 6am shopping crowd. With a $5 Creator bucket and 2 Target SW value packs, my crew contrived these special MOCs: (URL) stage is the eponymous Tractor. Shows how much fun you can have with some hastily acquired Lego in (...) (23 years ago, 11-Dec-01, to lugnet.build)

  Re: New mechas

(...) Tell me about it! When I saw these earlier today, I just about freaked as the accuracy of their designs. I'd love to have Glagla de-lurk to talk about these. -Dave legomecha@adelphiaNOSPAM.net (23 years ago, 11-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) The Gaogaigar is absolutely nuts!!! One of THE best Lego Mecha I have ever seen. I thought I was looking at a thumbnail of the toy before I zoomed in. sun (23 years ago, 11-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Octan World Headquarters

(...) Thanks. Not too many people have built buildings that aren't pretty much variations on the box. I enjoyed the challenge of making this thing bend in the middle. Adrian -- www.brickfrenzy.com (23 years ago, 10-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.town)

  Re: Octan World Headquarters

(...) Nope, the wings are what sets the angle. Thanks to the size of the building, small misalignments from one end to the other are eliminated, and everything can line up nicely. (...)   Re: Octan World Headquarters

(...) Actually, I meant "is there any mathematical model to follow, so that the halves' roofs fit together nicely, without 'holes'?" I did notice the clever use of the wings on the rooftop. What I was trying to know is whether or not you had (...) (23 years ago, 10-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.town)

  Re: Octan World Headquarters

(...) I'm not sure what you mean by this, but the angle of the building is set by the large Star Wars wing <part:30355> and <part:30356> which are parts of the roof panels. Once I had that part in hand, figured out how big the windows would be, made (...) (23 years ago, 10-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.town)

  Re: Octan World Headquarters

Hi Adrian, Very nice building. I especially like the angle between the two halves, is there any model to follow regarding proportions? How stable is the building, while resisting horizontal forces (ie, "shaken")? Pedro (23 years ago, 10-Dec-01, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.town)
