  Re: Technic Tread links

Here's a rough way to calculate your own answer. Each link takes up 2 teeth. So to make treads using 24T gears, figure 24 links for the ends, then measure axle centerto axle center and measure using the rack pieces how many teeth that is. I think, (...) (25 years ago, 11-Jul-99, to lugnet.build)

  Technic Tread links

I've been looking at the technic tread links available from Pitsco and have one question about them. How many links does it take to make a decent set of treads? For example, how many links are used to make a tread with 24-tooth gears at the ends and (...) (25 years ago, 11-Jul-99, to lugnet.build)

Re: Help id pieces and possible sets

Thanks for the leads on the red 1x2 brick. I checked them out and the first 4 of those sets are way to huge for what I have. Pause Magazine does not have a picture for 5187, but I only have *1* of these bricks, so any set with 12 (like 5187 and (...) (25 years ago, 10-Jul-99, to lugnet.build)

Re: Help id pieces and possible sets

There are about 250-300 or so pieces left, with the specialty pieces being mostly grey or yellow. What bugs me is the number of minifigs for which there need to be sets relative to the total number of pieces. I know from the prior owner that there (...) (25 years ago, 10-Jul-99, to lugnet.build)

Re: Help id pieces and possible sets

Based on what Sybrand just posted, seems to me you may want to dig into whether you have the pieces for this one: (...) <snip> (...) <snip> 2 x 2 plate with turntable in center. In yellow: <snip> (...) <snip> Not a sure thing, you need to (...) (25 years ago, 10-Jul-99, to lugnet.build)

Re: Help id pieces and possible sets

(...) Hello Brian, I haven't taken a look at your page, but I think I know of a few pieces which pieces you mean. You can find these pieces, although under a different name in Tim Vattima's set inventory (Under www.lugnet.com/inv ): 1 x 2 brick with (...) (25 years ago, 10-Jul-99, to lugnet.build)

Re: Help id pieces and possible sets

(...) There are also quite a few unique pieces, like the red 1x2 brick with the vertical groove and the 2 black 1x2 plates with attached horizontal grove and "teeth" on the bottom of the groove portion, the yellow&gray 2x2 turntable, and many of the (...) (...) pieces. (...) the (...) Thanks. I couldn't find sets with the lightning logo. With hundreds of Town sets to look through it's tedious and easy to miss stuff. Are there other Town sets with the lightning logo? (...) I've already assembled one (...) (25 years ago, 10-Jul-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: non- shooting shooting cannons?

(...) Yes, I've also heard about that, but I had not known that the first one was an urban legend. I had heard it from a magazine news show on TV. I think urban legends from another country can easily be spilled into non-serious news broadcasts of (...) (25 years ago, 10-Jul-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: non- shooting shooting cannons?

This is OT, sorry. As far as I know, that's actually an urban legend. A very popular one though. But for a more recent and confirmed bad lawsuit story, how about the woman who won a huge amount of money because she spilled her coffee from McDonald's (...)
