Re: Jack Stone figs and Minifigs . . .

Hagrid is indeed the same size as the Jack Stoned minifigs and is better made to boot. The Jack Stoned crud has no removable parts to help redeem them in any way, shape, or form. -Dave (23 years ago, 17-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

Re: Merry Christmas! Candy Cane Sculpture

Really? I look forward to seeing what you've got coming. I am thinking about doing another christmas sculpture as well, but I haven't yet been inspired (there's another non-christmas project that's taking up way too much of my thoughts right now) I (...)   Re: Catwoman mosaic

Henry congratulations, this is a stunning work. I remember seeing it partly completed and I was blown away at the sight of it. Wonderful subject matter. The scale alone is fantastic. As others have said, the shinyness of the plates stacked upwards (...) (23 years ago, 17-Nov-01, to lugnet.build)

Re: New mechs for your approval

(...) Heh! It's my favorite as well. Expect to see me use it heavily as I 're-invent' my M-Tron Commandos idea. I've decided that they need to be grittier and meaner so more dark grey is a must. (...) No problem. I'm pretty certain I've got it (...) (23 years ago, 17-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Merry Christmas! Candy Cane Sculpture

good job (as usual), Adrian. I had actually been thinking that a Candy cane sculpture would be suitable for LEGO... but you beat me to the punch. Plus, I have a separate Xmas LEGO sculpture that I will announce soon. eric (...) (23 years ago, 17-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.sculpture, lugnet.fun.holiday)

Re: New mechs for your approval

(...) Sounds cool. I'll have to look for it at Scarecrow Video. Hey, I was curious. Did you see the "Spider Platforms" in Project Appleseed? If not, I'd think you'd like them. They're 80' tall walking robotic gun platforms. (23 years ago, 17-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: When is a Slope not a Roof Tile? (WAS: we want....a shrubbery)

(...) Yes, I figured the 33 degree thing would come into play somewhere. I've always thought of these as "roof bricks" and I think it's primarily because of how I aquired my original supply of them. See the following link for pics: (URL) also put up (...) (23 years ago, 17-Nov-01, to lugnet.build)

In the beginnings of both of the movies there is some awesome (...) (23 years ago, 17-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Merry Christmas! Candy Cane Sculpture

(...) Not much, no. The wall of the entire thing is about 4 bricks thick, including the hook. There's a support rib in the very center of hook that keeps everything together, but otherwise it's completely hollow. Adrian (...)   Re: New mechs for your approval

(...) Hey, thanks. It's always good to know that there are others out there with foot fetishes besides me... But really, I don't know if you saw, (I know the pictures aren't that great) but the foot is only standing on the heel, toe, and side (...) (23 years ago, 17-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Merry Christmas! Candy Cane Sculpture

That's a cool cane. :) Does it need some sort of support structure in it so the top 'hook' doesn't break off from the rest? (...) (23 years ago, 17-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.sculpture, lugnet.fun.holiday)

Re: New mechs for your approval

(...) I've been pretending what I'd look like to be in that cockpit. Can you imagine all the red buttons? But really though thank you.   Re: New mechs for your approval

(...) Thanks, I try to make them intimidating. Also, I've been improving my look, mech by mech. Trying to get a nice balance and proportion vs. beliveability and playability. Get all that and try to have enough colors to make it look good. It's a (...) (23 years ago, 17-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New mechs for your approval

Re: New mechs for your approval

(...) Thanks, I've always had a soft spot for chainguns. I just can't seem to help myself. I'll say to myself, "ok, enough. Lets move on." And as soon as I abandon the idea for something a little less, (shall we say) dramatic, BOOM! The ideas roll (...) (23 years ago, 17-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)
