Re: USS Fletcher for public display

(...) Hey, that reminds me ... Actually, I've been working on frame-by-frame construction for my S-boat. I've completed the 20 main ribs, and am in the process of flushing out the contours between them. It's actually pretty satisfying, given that (...)   Re: removing a Minnie head

(...) I tried it also, but I didn't succeed either. It is quite easy to remove the legs from Mickey, the black pin has to be pushed out and the legs are separated from the body. Looking inside the body it looks like the arms can't be removed. It (...) (23 years ago, 12-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.fabuland)

  Re: Little Blue Bot

Wow Eric! again that is amazing! Very clever design, I love the feet, so smooth, very clean design, I love it, this is awesome once again. I'm so used to your creations being many feet high, that this one almost seems like it is! ;-) This is very (...) (23 years ago, 12-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Little Blue Bot

Hi all, I have so much Lego that I had to build some little minions to help me keep track of all the parts and peices I have. These Litte Blue Bots come in handy when your lair is over flowing with unsorted Lego. The LBB's gaurd and sort your lego (...) (23 years ago, 12-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: mini Fabfigs & Elvis

(...) Pop, pop... Aha, cool! Something else to try - a Fabuland head looks decent on Hagrid's body. Also, Hagrid's head and hair looks decent on a Fabuland body. Ok, looks like I'll be in the market for a few more Fabuland figs. Frank (23 years ago, 12-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.fabuland)

Re: USS Fletcher for public display

(...) Lego Shop at Home for grey brick. OK not very cheap but they are available. Starwars models for other grey and dark grey parts. I always look for bargain prices. Mattias (23 years ago, 11-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Engineering difficulties

(...) Yeah, it came out nicely. (...) And only two engines, as I recall. I'm surprised. Pulling something that big & heavy through of the water would take a lot of HP. (...) Turrets are a big challenge. I wish you luck. (...) I'd suggest doing that (...) (23 years ago, 11-Nov-01, to lugnet.build)

  Re: P-40 Warhawk [revisited]

(...) I see. I believe that the actual P-40's engine did not turn, though. The rotary engines where the entire engine turned were common in WWI, but not WWII. It would be tricky to get the same visual design without having the engine rotate though. (...) (23 years ago, 11-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: USS Fletcher for public display

(...) Where did you get so many grey pieces? I have a fair number of grey plates (from Classic Space sets), but few bricks. --Bill. (23 years ago, 11-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.military)
