Well, I noticed that the top of the boiler in teh LDraw pic is horizontal, and the same height as the firebox top, and in the model as built the firebox is a plate higher than th eboiler top, and there is a step in the boiler top about halfway (...) The LDraw render of it is a preliminary idea of what i wanted to do, then the pics are what it is currently,except for the functionality of the wheels/drivers. If you didnt find the (...) (...) I prefer 'Tek Nik'. To me, the word "Technic" seems derived from "technical", so that pronunciation most closely follows. "Tek Neeq", as derived from "technique" is also applicable. In fact, my dictionary shows "technic" as an alternate form (...) (25 years ago, 8-Jun-99, to lugnet.build)

(...) I agree. Besides that you gets lots of yellow beams and other pieces! I bought 4-5 sets at $17 ea at Target last year. My son and I are trying to construct sort of a "landing bay" for our SW1 Naboo Fighter. The yellow Technic* beams look nice (...) (25 years ago, 8-Jun-99, to lugnet.build)
