Re: Yellow Low Sloped Corner Bricks?

(...) Right, gotcha. Sorry for the confusion. I agree with you, the name "gable end" for that piece is confusing. What's better? 1x2 hip roof end? 1x2 half pyramid? Or the LDRAW name, Slope Brick 45 1 x 2 Triple? I don't know. John C. ps. To muddy (...) (25 years ago, 5-Jun-99, to lugnet.build)

Re: Yellow Low Sloped Corner Bricks?

(...) I have tons of black Tyco 1 x 3 slopes - probably as many as actual LEGO ones. It's a pity that the Tyco slopes have the extra ridge halfway down the slope which makes the look good only for roofing. (Even though most people here think that (...) (25 years ago, 5-Jun-99, to lugnet.build)

Re: Yellow Low Sloped Corner Bricks?

(...) This isn't the piece I was referring to... the one you just described is the one Gary said Rob F calls a "gable connector"... which is another misnomer, I think, since it connects rof peaks, not gables (which are at the outer end of a piece of (...) (25 years ago, 5-Jun-99, to lugnet.build)

Re: Yellow Low Sloped Corner Bricks?

(...) I think it's called "gabled" because it is an otherwise normal 1x2 roof piece with a gabled overhang on one side, ie a vertical triangle like a gabled roof. So that name refers to the appearance of the piece not it's actual function which is (...) (25 years ago, 4-Jun-99, to lugnet.build)

Re: Yellow Low Sloped Corner Bricks?

(...) Kevin, I was using the term that Rob Farver (the king of the sloped bricks) used in the past. He also used "gable connector" to describe the 2x2 peak piece with what looks like someone took a bite out of it. Gary Istok (25 years ago, 4-Jun-99, to lugnet.build)

Glad you liked the Page, it's been around for a while, everyone else is tired of looking at the same stuff though! they've seen it all I'm sure.. I think it's time to get busy and really crank out a few new MOC's, though I'm still working on my (...) (25 years ago, 4-Jun-99, to lugnet.build)
