Re: My new LEGO site is up

Rev, right on, I have always enjoyed your creations of Brickshelf, and now an official format, and it looks good to! good job, you must be excited, I would be! BTW hows the Band thing going, and what image ever did make it to the album cover? Eric (...) (23 years ago, 23-Jun-01, to lugnet.build)

Re: Detail Black Robot Pix, Made from Blacktron sets

Ha ha thanks, My Robots are non-violent, for me I belive that in a time when we will master these types of machines in the future, mans primitive violent instincts will be surpased by enlightnement thru technical know how. Still, I wouldn't mind (...) (23 years ago, 23-Jun-01, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

Re: Would you work for Lego?

(...) No. I write software, and I take pride in my work.. Lego software is uniformly atrocious. I would be very unhappy producing the kind of c**p that TLC puts out. True story: I had a clean PC (reformatted hard drive, newly installed W95, nothing (...) (23 years ago, 23-Jun-01, to lugnet.build)

  Re: site update

Thanks for the comments Shiri. The custom torsos are stickers, and they are not mine, I cant remember who did them but if they let me know I'll credit them. I have lots more characters photographed, so I'll stick some more up in the next day or so. (...) (23 years ago, 23-Jun-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general, lugnet.build)

Re: Detail Black Robot Pix, Made from Blacktron sets

(...) It appears as though your Blacktron mecha and your red mecha can accomplish quite a sum of property damage and Klauspacius and his Dark Gundams will surely have a fight with these two mecha. Jesse Long (23 years ago, 23-Jun-01, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Re: New Mech: Jumpkick

Hmm... okeydokey... well first to answer Mladen's question "random on" is a phrase I use a lot on my base website Pete's Page of Random, which basically refers to keep being random and act random. So that's that.... Next I realize that the the mech (...) (23 years ago, 23-Jun-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New Mech: Jumpkick

I totally agree here. Try building maybe one mech with a solid colour scheme, see how you like it, post it and see what you think. If you like it, then by all means keep building with a solid theme. Now about your mech, heck that was about your (...) (23 years ago, 23-Jun-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New Mech: Jumpkick

Well, I and many other people on LUGNET, do care somewhat for colour schemes. Maybe in your next mecha you should try to stick to a specific colour scheme. As far as the actual mecha goes, it nice. I don't really want to say anything bad, but it (...) (23 years ago, 23-Jun-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: My new LEGO site is up

(...) Hey Rev., I've enjoyed the pictures of your work on Brickshelf for some time now. The new web site looks great - chocked full of all kinds of great eye candy and filled with all kinds of detailed ideas to inspire others (for instance I might (...)   Detail Black Robot Pix, Made from Blacktron sets

Check out the Black Robot a little closer and see the Blacktron pcs. and Mini figs! it took 2years to create this, and it was my first serious attempt at a purpose built design. Enjoy. (...) (23 years ago, 23-Jun-01, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  New Mech: Jumpkick

Although I've had it for awhile, I recently just got the pics up and the entire name of Jumpkick is Mech #9 Jumpkick, because well y'see, it's my ninth mech, and I number them for the sake over everyone knowing which one came first, but onward. Once (...) (23 years ago, 23-Jun-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: site update

(...) Hi James! First thing I looked at was your MOC. Now, I don't think BURPs are that bad when used well, and I must say you used them well. The front of your bulding would fit seamlessly inside a mountain. I would love to see you build a big (...) (23 years ago, 23-Jun-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general, lugnet.build)

Re: Crashing your Lego creation safely...

Well, gee, I personally wouldn't risk such a thing. Once I build something, I rarely break apart my creation voluntarily, and creations that are lost I often regret about, from such memories as the first line of mechs I made, to the giant lumbering (...)   Re: Crashing your Lego creation safely...

LEGO is pretty tough, i would guess the only bits that might break are antennas and really thin pieces. The standard brick is pretty tough. Of course bits of wreckage might spread over a 300 sq. studs area, but ResQ will be called in to mop up the (...) (23 years ago, 23-Jun-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

  site update

*phew* I've updated my site finally with some new stuff. a new MOC and some minifigs. LMKWYT. I've used burps in my MOC so I've donned my flame retardent pants :) seriously though all feedback good or bad is appreciated. Thanks for looking James (...)   Re: MOCs: incl German WWII Railway gun

Shaun, I've seen your work on brickshelf before and I am just floored by the detail. You are, by far, one of the best lego modelers out there. 8 Your attention to detail is clearly seen in the beautiful re-creations of WWII and Star Wars machines. I (...)   Re: Crashing your Lego creation safely...

Well it's been 1 year since I wrote the message below. I have yet to crash this helicopter out of pure laziness. The SEALs have completed several missions and the pilots of the UH-60 (lego) Blackhawk are now feeling safe that their craft is safe and (...)
