Re: Non-violent Space Contest Entry: Q-35 Aerospace Jump-Jet

(...) Forward-swept wings have been tested since the 70's. They actually make a plane more maneuverable, but difficult to control (but now there's fly-by-wire), and there are structural problems.   Dennis Bosman's amazing new model!

Hi, I found this site (actually it was posted in www.1000steine.de forum) and was really impressed! Dennis build a model of a heavy transport (a Hitachi CX700GLS piledriver). It is simply amazing (as usual with Dennis' models). The site is in dutch (...) (23 years ago, 29-May-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build)

I have been looking at your under construction pics for monthes and I am glad to see the that the plane is finished. It looks great. Very innovative and I like the modular designs. Keep up the good work. Rich Schoonover (23 years ago, 29-May-01, to lugnet.build.contests)

  Re: Bionicle Ostrich

Your ostrich gave me a good chuckle. I love how simple it is, and yet it really does capture the essence of an ostrich. Can you post a picture looking down from the top?   Re: Non-violent Space Contest Entry: Q-35 Aerospace Jump-Jet

(...) I prefer to see them forward swept, if only for the uniqueness factor. Forward swept wings may actually offer some advantages, depending on the regimes of flight that will be most used.   Re: My Spacecraft Hanger for the Sci-Fi show, and a picture of a Field hospital.

(...) No doubt what is making it unhappy is torsional flex. If you can find a piece of plywood a bit bigger than the baseplates it is on, and slide it under the model whenever you go to move it, I bet it will stop creaking. ++Lar (23 years ago, 29-May-01, to lugnet.org.us.michlug, lugnet.space, lugnet.build)
