Re: And now a lovely beverage (was Re: Golden Gate Bridge cables)

(...) When reading this, an idea just popped into my head. I've nver done Lego surgery before but with a craft knife, you could cut the side bar off one of the faucet/tap/lamp base pieces, and stick it onto a 1x1 cylinder and have a fair rendition (...) (25 years ago, 28-Apr-99, to lugnet.build)

And now a lovely beverage (was Re: Golden Gate Bridge cables)

(...) Definitely red 1x1's for Coke. white for Diet coke or Diet Dr Pepper. Yellow I've used for Mountain Dew or Squirt. Green for 7-up or Sprite, Blue for RC Cola. Brown for Root Beer, Mug, maybe. For any non-alc beverages, has anyone ever used (...) (25 years ago, 28-Apr-99, to lugnet.build)

I like alot of things about them but I s'pose the main thing I really like is that everything is just so tight on your models. -Tom McD. when replying, remember that many a garbage disposal has met its (...)   Re: Golden Gate Bridge cables

(...) Off the top of my head, I think they were 2x2 cylinders. (...) I wish I had more than just two. They're more useful as decoration when the studs can be seen, and they make better cans of soda for Minifigs! ;) Jeff (25 years ago, 27-Apr-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Golden Gate Bridge cables

Well, I haven't been to LEGOLAND California yet, but the 1x1 cylinder bricks have a hole in the top of each brick (where the "LEGO" logo is supposed to be), and you could string them together. The 1x1 cylinder bricks (one of my all time favorites), (...) (25 years ago, 27-Apr-99, to lugnet.build)

  Golden Gate Bridge cables

I was just looking at the pictures of the Golden Gate Bridge on Tom Stangl's Legoland Carlsbad pic site: (URL) was wondering what the bridge cables were made from. Is it plastic, rubber? Does anyone know if there is a cylindrical hollow element that (...) (25 years ago, 27-Apr-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: New Ships!

Great work with the SW parts! Both the Rebel Blockade Runner and the DS-3 are very cool. In my haste to finish my masters I've finished two new models. One microfig scale using Sw parts and one microfig with black/yellow theme. I haven't filled in any info but who cares when I've got pictures. Check it out! (URL) J (25 years ago, 27-Apr-99, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.build)
